Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Wait, what? I thought it was premiering September 28.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Nope, it's tonight per NBC website: [link]

I'm in the middle of a rewatch and am having a lot of "oooh, OF COURSE" moments.

The only downer is that it's on at 10 pm Eastern Time (9 Central), which is super late. Not sure why it was pushed back. This seems like a perfect 8:30 pm show to me.

I googled, and the article I found said it's on at 10 only for tonight, because America's Got Talent is leading into it, so that's supposed to be a great time slot. But then starting next week, it moves back to Thursdays at 8:30: [link]

Oh, that's great and reassuring. I'm hoping its recent availability on Netflix and the lead-in tonight will lead to increased viewership. If I recall, it wasn't doing great ratings-wise last year, even though the fans were fervent.

We only caught it on Hulu over the summer, but will definitely be watching in real time this season.

From what I hear, the fall TV season on network this year is a DISASTER in terms of new shows. Like, "worst ever fall TV season in all my years of coverage" has been uttered by more than one critics. Hopefully that would mean that the network would be more nurturing toward their existing shows, especially ones as critically beloved as The Good Place.

I did catch the trailer to a new comedy called The Mayor, which looks cute and promising, even though the story beats are predictable. Plus, it's produced by Daveed Diggs of Hamilton fame, which is perfect because it's about a rapper who goes into politics: [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Good Place! I'm so excited it's back.
