"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I watched the pilot of The Good Place last night. It feels like it is another My Fair Lady retelling but less fun than Selfie.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My coworker was just telling me that he likes that show and something happens in the third(?) episode that made him happy, so I may have to check it out that far to see what he's talking about. He also said it's got a guy from Better Off Ted in it, so that's a selling point.

So much TV to catch up on, I'm gonna have to make a spreadsheet.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I can sort of see why you might think that from the pilot, but try watching a few more episodes. I've seen all the episodes of The Good Place so for, and it's not really like that at all.

Plus, Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are awesome, and even the annoying neighbor lady is growing on me.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

even the annoying neighbor lady is growing on me.

Getting a good chunk of her backstory really helped with that. By the end of the episode with all her flashbacks, I was kind of wrecked on her behalf.

Yup, seeing what her motivations were helped ever so. The other thing that was interesting was that it seems like Chidi is her actual soulmate.

Definitely where the show seems to be going.

I'm really enjoying this show.

I'm still a couple episodes behind, but the show is growing on me. I haven't gotten to the episode focusing on the neighbor lady yet.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I just finished the entire season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and I'm so torn. I've been mainlining it and craving it, in spite of finding the entire premise (and especially the title) very problematic. I kinda wish it were called anything but "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and yet also kinda appreciate the normalizing of a very emotionally distressed person without the show really being about that...even though it's kinda the title of the show. But seriously, I'm really conflicted about how much I've been enjoying this show.

Still loving The Good Place, and am really intersted in what happens now that Eleanor has come clean. The whole murdering Janet thing was hilarious.

I understand that is problematic, but I really adore Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
