I'm catching up on The Good Place! NBS has it streaming for free.., I don't even have to jump through hoops about a cable company (on a few websites mine hasn't been recognized).
On Episode 5 now and still like it and just learning about Tahani.., I wanted to smack her parents.

Watched The Great Indoors, and I liked it more than I expected. It's probably because it's basically Newsradio in modern costume, with Joel McHale as Dave and Stephen Fry as Jimmy James.
The Good Place continues to delight.

Mine, too. The one big difference here is that there doesn't seem to be any character equivalent to Phil Hartman (who could be?), but the others map amazingly well to NR. Only one episode so far, but it was fun.

I feel like I haven't given enough love to The Good Place.
It's the other show besides WestWorld I've been invested in this fall.
Curiously, they're both philosophical shows at their core.
But The Good Place is working purely as comedy. It's very funny, very sharp. Schur has taken what were merely slightly surreal jokes from Parks and Rec and blown them up for maximum loopiness, but at the same time kept everything very human and focused.
That said, two of the best characters on the show aren't human at all. Ted Danson's "architect" - Michael, and the AI Janet (D'arcy Carden) have been consistently hilarious.
Kristen Bell is fantastic, but the entire cast has been strong.
The show is delightful but also substantive in interesting ways.

Plus, we got to meet Bad Place Janet this week. The show really has been super. I really like the way it didn't try to stagnate with Eleanor hiding out and constantly on the verge of discovery a la My Favorite Martian or shows of that ilk. Now Tehani knows about Jason. And then there's Sean...

The Good Place is moving up on my Must Watch list also. List is misleading, there's a spreadsheet. But The Good Place is on it, is the point.
But I came in here to talk about Crazy Ex-girlfriend. I'm still a couple of episodes behind but (a) I love Paula an awful lot and am so pleased with her decisions to go to law school and to have a shenanigan-free friendship with Rebecca and (b) I mostly like how the Greg is an Alcoholic storyline has been going so far, but you can't just say "I'l bring the donuts next time" and they count on you to do that. That's really not how AA works. Really.
Re: the problematic title - yeah, it is, lampshades notwithstanding. But the evolution of the title song is interesting. I don't know where Bloom et al are going with Rebecca's character (or, frankly, any of them! They all can and do surprise me. I'm enjoying that. Josh, for example, is a little less likable this season, more self-centered. I kinda don't want White Josh to have feet of clay, though, he's a delight. Also, I would like more of Darryl enjoying Luna Lemonzest bars because they are my favorite) and that is refreshing.
