"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Huh. I just watched the second episode of Friends and they had a different actress as Carol (Ross' ex-wife). Anita Barone. Then she was recast with Jane Sibbett.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

that's weird when that happens.

Nothing's every going to top the weirdness of The New Darrin on Bewitched, especially since Dick Sargent did sort of kind of look like Dick York. Plus they were both Dick.

Not that I saw it in real time, but it was in syndication when I was growing up and definitely flipped my worldview. On the Partridge Family they were more blatant and recast a brunette boy with a blonde one after the first season.

Cool points though to Bunuel who did it on purpose, casting two different actresses in his version of Wuthering Heights and alternating them without warning.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I did not know that. After the Pythons' treatment I had no desire to actually see W. H. for real but now I kinda do.

My favorite actor swap was on Roseanne. I loved how they would subtly refer to it from time to time.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Did you guys see the Beckys! Identical Beckys! dance number they did over the closing credits of one show?

hunh. Bunuel's version of Wuthering Heights (I've already forgotten the title in my trip from there to here) seems to be one of the few titles of his Netflix doesn't carry. I added The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie instead.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Which he later also did for THE OBSCURE OBJECT OF DESIRE, although I think in that case there were meta reasons (i.e. one of the actresses buggered off) that Bunuel ran with.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My favorite actor swap was on Roseanne. I loved how they would subtly refer to it from time to time.

I loved the episode where First Becky (Alicia Goranson) came back after Sarah Chalke left. Everytime Alicia walked into a room, someone would yell at her, "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?"

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I added The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie instead.

You won't regret it. On a similar note, I have Viridiana at home on my tivo.
