I think the show is really committed to Jeff/Annie, and it's true that it's less skeevy than it was in the first season. But it still doesn't really work for me.

I think Abed/Troy are the one true pairing but really Troy and Annie would probably work out pretty well.

That one makes more sense to me than Troy/Britta.
I wanted Abed and Annie ever since that paintball kiss!
Me too! Actually since Abed's "you like me because I'm immature" line, which I maintain is Abed talking rather than Han. I love Troy and Britta together because the things that each of them likes about the other are things that they are insecure about.
I just watched that episode on Sunday! That paintball kiss was pretty hot. They didn't really ever play with that again, did they?
They've been teasing Troy/Britta for a while, and I think it's mostly working, although I did think they were going to go with Troy/Annie after "Mixology Certification."
Interesting. Is there meta about Jeff/Annie? Because I'm not feeling it to the extend that I'm not seeing it in the canon--that wasn't my takeaway from last week.
I haven't seen any meta, just that despite all the Jeff/Britta sleeping together and whatnot, it was Annie that Jeff kissed at the end of season 1, and that was shot and weighted narratively like a BFD. Also, they haven't given Annie any other romantic interests, unlike Britta.
I have issues with Jeff/Annie having to do with the fact that she was all of 18 when they met and he's a skeevy horndog. But I do sincerely believe the show is throwing its weight behind that romance.
Tonight's first Raising Hope may have been a little too referential for me.
