What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just watched that episode on Sunday! That paintball kiss was pretty hot. They didn't really ever play with that again, did they?

They've been teasing Troy/Britta for a while, and I think it's mostly working, although I did think they were going to go with Troy/Annie after "Mixology Certification."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Interesting. Is there meta about Jeff/Annie? Because I'm not feeling it to the extend that I'm not seeing it in the canon--that wasn't my takeaway from last week.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I haven't seen any meta, just that despite all the Jeff/Britta sleeping together and whatnot, it was Annie that Jeff kissed at the end of season 1, and that was shot and weighted narratively like a BFD. Also, they haven't given Annie any other romantic interests, unlike Britta.

I have issues with Jeff/Annie having to do with the fact that she was all of 18 when they met and he's a skeevy horndog. But I do sincerely believe the show is throwing its weight behind that romance.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Tonight's first Raising Hope may have been a little too referential for me.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

As for me, who is still mourning Earl's cancellation, it wasn't enough. But it was nice to see the actors get a reunion and see how many references they could work in....

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I purposefully avoided watching it - if I'd wanted to watch My Name Is Earl, I'd have done so before it was canceled.

Same issue I had with Cougar Town: We Refuse to Accept that ABC Stopped Airing Scrubs Years Ago.

I'm honestly not sure whether it was Too Many References or Just Enough or So Many It Was Too Much. But Became Right Through Sheer Volume.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't feel Jeff/Annie coming of the show myself. I mean, the episode in which she pretended to be his wife didn't even feel to me like she wanted him--she just wanted to be grownup, and she wanted to hang out with him. But I didn't get any eros feel off the whole thing. And that seems like an obvious place to tease it, as opposed to S1, when they teased a lot of things.

Always Anti-fascist!

Maybe a little, but not a lot. You're right. She wanted to try on being married.

That actually felt like an episode of Community.
