I generally thought Pierce's special gym was funnier when we didn't see it, but Shirley's "forget you saw this and forget I knew what it was" was pretty good.
Abed's "this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me" tickled me, in part because we were just talking secret bookshelf passageways in Natter the other day.
I'm trying to cut this ep a break in terms of being a Halloween episode because previous H'ween eps have been so awesome and this is still just the second ep of the season.
That being said, "Secret dogs!" was my favorite joke of the night, I think.
Yeah, I'm going to mutter that every damn time I go to a kink event now.
t edit
Donald Glover's delivery of some lines is just *killer.* I love him.
I did laugh at Abed's meta-comment comment that this used to be a show about a community college.
Okay, I'm feeling dumb. What was Abed's costume? I feel like I'm just shy of recognizing it, but can't quite get there.
Annie's comment about "indoor swings" made me laugh too.
I didn't get it either (I thought he was Tina Turner), nor did I get Troy's (I thought he was Tigger). They were Calvin and Hobbes.
Annie's comment about "indoor swings" made me laugh too.
You could break a lamp!
They were Calvin and Hobbes.
Omigosh, I hang my head in shame for not getting that!
Then I get over it and point out that Calvin being taller than Hobbes threw me. Yeah, that's the ticket.
The secret dogs part was probably the best part! Somehow I think Donald Glover wrote that line.
That would make sense, yes.
I didn't get the Calvin and Hobbes costumes, either.
The character notes are not slowly developing. The characterization is getting shorter.
To be fair, they only have 12 episodes this season, so I can understand rushing things a little.
yes, but I'm hopeful for the movie!
I'm sure there will be plenty of personal growth left to attain by then.
