I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

He does. I'm surprised at the exec producer leading a chorus of profanity-laced invective against the guy with his daughter present, but the fact that Chase could make someone want to do that surprises me not one whit.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

right? but I guess if an actor prevented me from filming a season (and perhaps series) finale the way I wanted to, I might want to do all sorts of things.

here's hoping better angels preside.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had heard the same thing, askye, but I at least thought he knew how to give an interview. All the ones I found skimming for context make him sound pretty assholish. Like, not reports, but actually quotes of his words. Disdainful and clueless.

I'd like to separate him more from his character, but he's not making it easy. At least he's not racist. But he is patronising towards the women on the cast.

it is a shame that in this day and age, we actually have to give someone credit for this.

Thrive to spite them

I'm wondering if Chase hates sitcoms so much why did he agree to do one? If he needed the money you'd think there would be something else he'd pick.

Also with his reputation why did they cast him? I mean, yeah he's a big name, but obviously there have been some serious drawbacks with going for him.

I have to admit I was reluctant to watch Community at first because I thought Chevy Chase had a rep of being a jerk and I just didn't want to watch him.

I thought the comment about " the two white girls - the two pretty young girls" sounded racist.

You're definitely not alone there.

::sigh:: There is that.

It may have been appealing to get paid to be an asshole.

Always Anti-fascist!

Of course, I think Clark Griswold is an asshole too. But I understand you're not supposed to think so.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

It would have made perfect sense, plot-wise, to dump his ass at the end of S2. I've actually been mildly amused at Pierce in S3, and much less wanting to kill him with fire.

Which doesn't make Chevy Chase the actor any less of an assbag.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Going back to Community the show, I just rewatched the last ep.

Am I the only one who found the final fort face off between Troy and Abed kind of hot, as well as ultimately sad?
