Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Big yes. HIMYM is the successor to Friends IMHO, and I mean that in a good way.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

The first few years of Friends has some of the best comedy TV ever.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The last episode of HIMYM I saw (dowisetrepla) reminded me a lot of Seinfeld. But wasn't that Chandler's ex Janice as the realtor?

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Yup.

Just looked up the rating of HIMYM compared to 2 1/2 Men. Charlie Sheen skeeves me so I've never watched it, and probably never will, but, really? It gets almost twice the viewership of HIMYM? That sucks. [link] 9.5, 8.5, 8.3 million viewers over the years for HIMYM. [link] 15.1, 14.4, 13.7 for 2.5.

eta for modifier.

Always Anti-fascist!

Nash bridges outrated Homicide, too. Or as Keith Olbermann says "Ten Million flies can't be wrong,"

Charlie Sheen skeeves me

That's hilarious because people in my family keep saying Charlie Sheen reminds them of my brother.

edit: mostly (I think) because they share fashion sense, gestures and facial expressions, not idiotic masculine behavior. Not all idiotic masculine behavior.
