The second episode of New Girl was different from the first. They swapped out the black actor. Don't know if the guy in the pilot wasn't available for the series or if they "decided to go in a different direction" or what. Felt like the geek references were minimal to non-existent (I'd have to rewatch and I didn't tivo it). There were other things, but overall I think it could settle into a good show. Or it could go frightfully in the wrong direction.

It was Damon Wayans Jr in the pilot, and I think he was already committed to Happy Endings.
what -t said. i assumed they were just going have new guy play Wayans Jr's character, but they went a different route.
The cold open of Raising Hope was hysterical!
That's the best pee pee dance I've ever seen.
Ron Swanson is my great-grandfather! Well, sort of, with the name thing.
I had no idea Ron Swanson has an awesome dimple!
The Tammy stuff never gets old for me.
They need to whip out Tammy 3.
What will next year's be called? "Ron and Tammy: The Tammening"?
Am I the only one not loving Community so far this season?
I'm laughing a lot more at Parks and Rec. This week's episode felt a little more like the show, and it had its moments, but so far it's not living up to the last two seasons.
