Glee: I figured that the vote was held school-wide, rather than that evening? I found it interesting that they didn't actually explain whether it was a prank, or intended to be a compliment? I mean, teenagers are often not smart. Kurt's feeling about it is indisputable, though, and that's what's more important than how they intended it.
I didn't see the twist coming with Karovsky but I enjoyed it. Characters that grow! Now if Glee could just have more than a few of them.
I'm an episode behind in Glee. Did Sue as Bowie actually have different colored contact(s)?
But speaking of Karovsky
I think they did a decent job of humanizing Karofsky. The scene in the hallway, after his apology, telling Kurt to wait for him was touching. Max Adler did a great job.
The thing I had trouble with was the look on Figgens' face after he announced Kurt's name, he looked pissed but didn't act it and went ahead and announced Kurt's name instead of someone else's.
At least last night Sue was back to normal. I love that Artie was spiking the punch with lemonade.
Oh! My friend torturing me with the song this morning reminded me: When they opened the prom with "Friday," I really thought it was going to be a terrible-songs theme, especially after Sue's mandate. Then I wasn't so sure when they did "Jar of Hearts" next.....
Jar of Hearts did nothing to dispel the terrible song theme as far as I was concerned.
I spent a minute trying to decide if they would actually go there like that, given that it's a commercially successful current song, good or not. ("You're gonna catch a cold/from the ice inside your soul"??? Seriously???)
Friday is the first Glee song I've ever skipped past.
Laga, I wish I'd known it was coming. It earworms me for days and it is irritating.
