I hate Seinfeld with a passion, but I know that most people wouldn't agree with me.
Oh my god, seriously. Every character (except, *maybe*, Kramer) was so loathesome.
They are mean, mean people (I never liked Seinfeld either)
I do like Seinfeld. But I'm fairly comfortable with the darker facets of my personality. (pause for "Duh, we noticed," And I'm thinking how little y'all would like "Curb your Enthusiasm" which is like, so, less cheerful than Seinfeld. It's brilliant, though.
Happy to be in the same corner with Teppy and Sophia. I could tolerate the show until the episode that concentrated on handicapped spaces, and then I was done with it.
One of my former roomies practically viewed watching it as a religious experience. I'll admit some of the stuff occasionally struck me as funny (mostly Elaine's antics with J. Peterman), but it was definitely not a sitcom designed with my sensibilities in mind.
Though I suppose I should be thankful it got me to root for the eventual Stanley Cup champions in my first year of hockey fandom.
sj,
I think we all have an episode that did it for us. I thought some eps were mildly amusing, but the ep with the cigar store Indian statue was just not at all funny to me. The show didn't become funny again to me after that.
But I also am not a "Friends" fan either.

I was pimping Community to Juliana this afternoon, and I made her watch the second ep, and I noticed that during the epic Spanish presentation, Pierce was wearing a tiny hat at one point. During the last ep, that tiny hat was one of the items recovered from the monkey.

I thought that was the tiny hat involved in the frog fiasco.
Me too, but nope--this was a bigger tiny hat.
