Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

WTF -- does Papa Can You Hear Me actually start with the Lord's Prayer?? That's fucked up.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It begins with the "Oh heavenly father" part, but not the Lord's Prayer. I can't rewind, but I didn't notice the Lord's Prayer in there.

Not the whole thing, but it was definitely quoting.

The song starts with "Oh God-our heavenly Father. Oh, God-and my father Who is also in heaven. May the light of this Flickering candle Illuminate the night the way Your spirit illuminates my soul."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I thought it started, "life is a mystery..." I can't find a music video version that starts with "Oh heavenly father"- maybe on the album?

Oh God-our heavenly Father. Oh, God-and my father Who is also in heaven.

OK, maybe it was just that part that struck me. I was so thrown off! Do Jews say "Our heavenly Father"?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ha! is the "heaven" part throwing you off?

Do Jews say "Our heavenly Father"?

I can't think of that exact phrasing in English too often, but "our Father" is in a lot of prayers, and "tate in himmel," which means "father in heaven," is used in Yiddish.
