Alan Sepinwall interviews the creators of HIMYM, and they admit they fucked up last season.

Especially making Ted such a douche, and also making the season so "sitcommy" filled with schmuckbait, with no advancement of emotional arcs for the characters. So they won't do that again.

I like it better when they have a theme and then find disparate songs that fit

Not to mention songs that fit the singers' voices. I'd like to see Puck do more songs like "The Lady Is a Tramp."

Yeah, it sucks having to piece them together from the excerpts. I think I maybe saw one episode of it from the 1st season, but a couple of months ago some of their marketing people put up posters and coasters at the bar.

When the campaign was over they gave Jon the S3 DVDs. We got hooked over the weekend and even this morning Jon was all, "What's your favorite thing about Sheldon?"
