"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

However, I also don't think liking a show means you can't point out what it could do better.

That's not what I think a critique is about. I think every work should have those kind of contradictions and you're interested in how they're juggled. Though I'll readily admit there are a variety of ways you can approach the notion from dramaturgy to deconstruction to dramatic critique to a theatrical review in a newspaper.

*Not sure of the technical term

Melisma?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Who do you think is the most autotuned? I kind of think Kurt and Finn.

Mercedes, Rachel and Santana seem to have more "real" (unadultered) voices.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The finale had a lot of really bad lipsynching by the club. When Lea started "To Sir with Love," I could immediately tell she was just a hair off, and so were the rest of the cast on that song. Very sloppy.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Melisma is a pretty specific term. It refers to a series of notes sung on one syllable. [link]

I think Kurt just has a really pure falsetto. I don't think he's auto-tuned.

Finn? Bless his heart.

Pardon my ignorance - what's autotuning?

It's how she'll start just off pitch and then hit the note.
