We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I just had to check. "One" is from 1991. 19 years ago. Oy. I could have sworn it was late 90s, at the earliest.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'll always remember when that was because of the Berlin Wall video. But, classic rock? I don't think so.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I would really have liked to see a few more of the solos...Puck doing Lady is Tramp was awesome but what about the rest of the ensemble? I don't think we've ever heard Britanny do a solo and poor fake-stutter girl has become such wallpaper i can't even remember her name. Just that the only solo she's ever had was from West Side Story....and reassigned to Rachel.

Glad to know that Quin is staying with Puck. At least his family is manning up ;)

U2 is so very NOT classic rock. Sheesh.

eta: wait, if Joss is directing an episode, does that mean Becky is gonna get killed suddenly and unexpectedly? Or can we off Rachel?

Slushie: One of the commenters on Feminists with Disabilities/FWD on "Laryngitis," saying pretty much what we've been saying about the Very Special Episode. [link]

eta I'd like to sit Ryan Murphy down and force feed him the first two seasons of Friday Night Lights.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I do love the FWD people. I can no longer cope with Glee for just this reason. Well, that and the way the other minority characters are treated, in the show itself and in its marketing. Sociological Images and FWD have been coming up with interesting examples: [link] [link] [link] I did try with it, 'cause it's mainly a really fun show, but I got tired. (The Girl fast-forwards to the songs. That seems to help.)

Jeebus crispies, Seska. I hadn't seen those images. Oh, Ryan Murphy, you freaking dolt. Your white male ablist privilege is showing, and you think it's CUTE.

Compassionately intolerant

I saw the Rolling Stone cover and could only sigh. How do you make such a 'everybody friendly' show read dead creepy? Gratuitous Upskirt! Of course.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I would have been able to let it go (maybe) if they hadn't had Quinn on the cover. She's a minor character, she's only on the cover because she's blond and pretty. Fail, Glee!

“Not dead yet!”

But is that a fail you can put on Glee or on Fox or on RS? I'm not trying to play devil's advocate because I'm willing to put blame where blame is due. However, I want to make sure the right fingers are being pointed.
