"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I do love the FWD people. I can no longer cope with Glee for just this reason. Well, that and the way the other minority characters are treated, in the show itself and in its marketing. Sociological Images and FWD have been coming up with interesting examples: [link] [link] [link] I did try with it, 'cause it's mainly a really fun show, but I got tired. (The Girl fast-forwards to the songs. That seems to help.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Jeebus crispies, Seska. I hadn't seen those images. Oh, Ryan Murphy, you freaking dolt. Your white male ablist privilege is showing, and you think it's CUTE.

Compassionately intolerant

I saw the Rolling Stone cover and could only sigh. How do you make such a 'everybody friendly' show read dead creepy? Gratuitous Upskirt! Of course.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I would have been able to let it go (maybe) if they hadn't had Quinn on the cover. She's a minor character, she's only on the cover because she's blond and pretty. Fail, Glee!

“Not dead yet!”

But is that a fail you can put on Glee or on Fox or on RS? I'm not trying to play devil's advocate because I'm willing to put blame where blame is due. However, I want to make sure the right fingers are being pointed.

Hmm, interesting question. I don't know who concieved the piece, whether RS asked for particular people, or Glee offered these folks. is Glee at fault for not saying "hey, we should have Mercedes on the cover" (who I would argue is at least as important a character as Quinn) or even Kurt, who is the only "minor" character with a backstory outside of school that is exclusively his.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I just now watched last week's Community. I have never made such ridiculous snorting noises in my life. Not even during the pool episode. I keep thinking it can't get any better... and then it does.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

That episode was so fantastic.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can not wait for tonight's Glee!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

The Project Rungay boys have a post up about the Glee kids at the Fox upfronts after party and Artie is oh my stars! Rocking the suit with the skinny tie. Rowrrr. Kurt, Puck and Mr. Shue are also looking mighty fine. Actually, All the kids look pretty great. Except for Cory Monteith. He just does nothing for me. And sadly, Jane Lynch looks like somebody's mom who wandered into the party by mistake, but I love Sue Sylvester so much I just don't care.
