She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Having one funny line doesn't obviate the annoying behavior for the rest of the show.

What is even happening?

I think Marshall was supposed to be annoying, because he's unemployed. Ted really annoyed me, last night, much more than anyone else.

My weecap of it is up at TWoP.

I didn't give it an A+ (although I did give it an A). I'm not sure what happened there, but I'm not going to bother the editor over something so trivial.

Barney and Lily could have their own show. They're adorable.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh yeah!! I forgot about that. *goes to read*

Hee.

Does anyone, anywhere know a guy Ted's age who is so hell-bent on marriage for its own sake?

Maybe he has my parents.

She adds to ask something personal, so Barney asks Robin at what age she first got her period. See, isn't that romantic?

This is where I nearly fell off the couch laughing.

From Ted's bedroom, Marshall tries to listen in on Stella's movie watching -- with the old glass-to-the-wall trick. Does that work?

I think so. It's science!

End tag: our favorite five are at MacLaren's, laughing and talking.

Wait, what? I DID NOT GET AN END TAG. WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?

Punishingly Intricate

I don't know. Maybe I was expecting too much but it came off as kind of more rote sitcom to me. Like, if Stella really had an allergy that severe she wouldn't have mentioned it to someone making her food??? That just seems like the kind of intentional withholding of information leading to "hilarious" consequences thing that any old sitcome would do. I expect more from HIMYM.

yeah. I handwaved it because pesto doesn't usually use peanuts and that's why it didn't come up.

I don't know if it was 10 seconds long. You don't hear anything they're talking about. It's quite similar to the "Rhinoceros" flashback when Barney let's Lily know he's onto her code word, except this time the code word is "Chimichanga." That's pretty much it. It almost felt like it got cut.

It was a little too convenient -- but like Vortex, I just handwaved it. I thought NPH and AH were brilliant together. They made the show for me. I really like Sarah Chalke on this show. She's everything on HIMYM that Elliot could have been on Scrubs.

Cool! Man, that Duckman parody of Easy Rider is a stone classic.
