Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hooray Budapest!

Jars, my standard quick baby blanket is knit with two strands of yarn (I usually do white and whatever color/variegated catches my fancy) so that it (a) goes really fast and (b) is really soft and fluffy when finished. I have the actual pattern lying around somewhere if you want it, but I'm sure using two strands with Anne's pattern would work. Just hold the two strands together and treat them as one as you go.

If you don't mind, that'd be great. I'll probably end up going with Anne's pattern, but I'm still looking at everything I can find, just in case.

I leave a month from Thursday and I'm there for 5 days.

It's just somewhere I've always wanted to go. Layers and layers of history...Europe without being typical European vacation...former communist country. I just find Eastern Europe really interesting, and Budapest was the first place I wanted to see.

now, it's been a while since I was there, but you should go to the baths. Very relaxing and cheap.

Huh. I have a family member moving there at the end of the month. Which is weird and coincidental but... probably doesn't lend itself to a get-together, really. Damn!

Sounds like fun!

I'll definately be doing the baths, Heroes Square, Castle Hill, the opera, a boat ride on the Danube, Margaret Island, everything else is as it comes. There's a restaurant that serves huge portions on large wooden plates where I think I want to have Thanksgiving dinner.

I was actually able to find it, awesome!

Baby Blanket Pattern

Needles: size 13 circular

Using one strand white and one strand color, CO 117 sts. K 8 rows.

Row 1: K6, K2, P1, *K3, P1 repeat from * to last 8 sts, K2, K6 Row 2: K6, *P1, K3 repeat from * to last 7 sts, P1, K6

repeat rows 1 and 2 for about 35"

K7 rows. BO.

Calls for 6 skeins of each color, I don't think I've ever needed more than three of each.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Stephanie, I skimmed. Is Ellie feeling better?

RenFaire sounds awesome.

Yay DJ! I want to go to Prague. Motherland + amazing architecture + beer = happy!juliana.

I am tired!juliana right now, though. I was in Eugene all weekend, visiting relatives. Both of my grandparents are failing (my grandpa quite possibly doesn't remember who I am, though he was very loving while I was there), and my auntie is recovering from a brain tumor that was threatening to take her sight (and did take hearing from one of her ears). Plus, I was running interference between my cousins (who are younger than me) and my grandma. So, it was a good visit, and I'm glad I went, and I just want to crawl into bed or someone's lap and possibly cry, but definitely sleep.

I did have Alaskan Amber beer while I was up there. That was good.

{{{juliana}}} Sounds like a rough weekend.
