Had a lovely weekend- sj and TCG came over for dinner on Saturday and then yesterday, our plans for family visitation in CT fell through, leaving us with a lazy day of tv watching (me), brewing beer (Tom), making mac & cheese, and chilling out.
We had a great time! You're great cooks and we really appreciate the fresh herbs garden and the bottle of homemade beer.
Ginger, once I call my landlord, he comes about every 6 weeks to replace the filter. He's pretty good about it. And he buys me the hypo-allergenic filters, which is nice.
huh, I change the filters every 3 months ( or make DH do it). But I did turn our heat on without changing the filters. But then I have less problems with Asthma in the winter than I do the spring - fall.
Stephanie, I completely missed your Ellie concern yesterday with the skipping. Glad to see she's feeling better.
Susan! Awesome!
I wish we could have a buffista knitting/crocheting/sewing circle. None of my friends here do any of that. I have a dress I have been crocheting off and on forever, and it would help motivate me if I could meet up with other people working on projects too.
Yes, Budapest! Fay, did you go by yourself? I'll be staying here [link]
Why the Budapest? Where's the original post or what's the scoop?
Gronk.
Am at work, but headache is still playing hide and seek. Didn't sleep worth a darn.
Budapest? I didn't think I had scanned, and yet I missed that one.
It's just somewhere I've always wanted to go. Layers and layers of history...Europe without being typical European vacation...former communist country. I just find Eastern Europe really interesting, and Budapest was the first place I wanted to see.
Hooray Budapest!
Jars, my standard quick baby blanket is knit with two strands of yarn (I usually do white and whatever color/variegated catches my fancy) so that it (a) goes really fast and (b) is really soft and fluffy when finished. I have the actual pattern lying around somewhere if you want it, but I'm sure using two strands with Anne's pattern would work. Just hold the two strands together and treat them as one as you go.

If you don't mind, that'd be great. I'll probably end up going with Anne's pattern, but I'm still looking at everything I can find, just in case.
