I swear, one of these times, you're gonna wake up in a coma.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sighhh... someone tell me not to read Salon letters.

They have made their decision about who is moving on to the next stage, however their email system is down, so thay are unable to send out any notifications until it's fixed.

Mostly lurking...

Sean, that's kind of evil.

Compassionately intolerant

Yay Teppy's da. Go him with the fortitude!!

In entirely opposite news, my faux-son's friend and boss...father of 4 sons under the age of 14 and stout, jovial pillar of the neighborhood...went into voluntary surgery last week for sleep apnea. He had a massive heart attack and went into a coma. They took him off life support on Monday. He died Tuesday.

He and his wife...a powerhouse business woman with many, many national ice cream shop franchises...apparently has a rough relationship despite his 'everybody loves him' public persona.

It's been interesting to see how various neighbors are reacting. Faux-son and I took the eldest boy to the Renn Faire on Sunday. I imagine we'll be doing a lot of kid whisking away in the near future. I honestly can't think of anything else useful to do...they've specifically asked for no food or flowers.

Yeah, those of us who entered the open call now fully suspect the Paizo staff of trying make us explode from nervous energy.

Our wings are not tired

Oh that sucks Sean!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hil is me wrt Numbers.

Hooray for Tep's Dad of Steel!

How did you get the notification that there would be no notifications, Sean? Just curious. And still crossing my fingers for you.

I am all about pencil and paper calculations, but I am also all about not being able to find writing instruments or scraps of paper when I need them. I definitely prefer to do math on paper over in my head, if it's an option.

They're still talking to people through the posting board. There's one thread that's specifically about the open call. The Paizo staff have great jobs, because in addition to working in a field they all love, they are all encouraged to spend time on their board, talking to the other posters.

Understandably, they would prefer to contact submitters via email, rather than just posting a list of who made it and who didn't on the board.

That makes perfect sense.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I've tried watching Numb3rs. I got a little too eyerolly at the magical mystical mathematics, though. I really wanted to like that show.

yeah, I'm sure that it's like watching lawyer shows for me. I can't stand most of them. I like Boston Legal because I watch it for the characters and I pretend that they aren't in court.
