Sean, that's kind of evil.
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay Teppy's da. Go him with the fortitude!!
In entirely opposite news, my faux-son's friend and boss...father of 4 sons under the age of 14 and stout, jovial pillar of the neighborhood...went into voluntary surgery last week for sleep apnea. He had a massive heart attack and went into a coma. They took him off life support on Monday. He died Tuesday.
He and his wife...a powerhouse business woman with many, many national ice cream shop franchises...apparently has a rough relationship despite his 'everybody loves him' public persona.
It's been interesting to see how various neighbors are reacting. Faux-son and I took the eldest boy to the Renn Faire on Sunday. I imagine we'll be doing a lot of kid whisking away in the near future. I honestly can't think of anything else useful to do...they've specifically asked for no food or flowers.
Yeah, those of us who entered the open call now fully suspect the Paizo staff of trying make us explode from nervous energy.
Oh that sucks Sean!
Hil is me wrt Numbers.
Hooray for Tep's Dad of Steel!
How did you get the notification that there would be no notifications, Sean? Just curious. And still crossing my fingers for you.
I am all about pencil and paper calculations, but I am also all about not being able to find writing instruments or scraps of paper when I need them. I definitely prefer to do math on paper over in my head, if it's an option.

They're still talking to people through the posting board. There's one thread that's specifically about the open call. The Paizo staff have great jobs, because in addition to working in a field they all love, they are all encouraged to spend time on their board, talking to the other posters.
Understandably, they would prefer to contact submitters via email, rather than just posting a list of who made it and who didn't on the board.
That makes perfect sense.
I've tried watching Numb3rs. I got a little too eyerolly at the magical mystical mathematics, though. I really wanted to like that show.
yeah, I'm sure that it's like watching lawyer shows for me. I can't stand most of them. I like Boston Legal because I watch it for the characters and I pretend that they aren't in court.
Oh, blarg. How totally frustrating, Sean.
I am in awe of Tep's Dad of Steel.
bonny, kid-whisking sounds like a good and loving act, probably better than food or flowers would have been even if they wanted those things.
Trudy, here's all the Salon letter you will ever need, covering all the possible Salon letters bases, so now you never need to go back (unless you want to read the Glenn Greenwald letters, which are usually pretty intelligent):
What about the poor divorced men? What about the suffering of the Duke University students? Why doesn't Salon's blog about women's issues talk more about men's rights? What about those Zionists? What about the right wing medialopolocracy? Why are you all such nuts? Why are you all so painfully bourgeois and mainstream? You breeders make me sick, and anyhow now your kid's life is ruined since you went and mentioned in a parenting column that you actually ARE A PARENT, OMG the withering glare of the endless publicity will kill him. Anyhow, you'll all be sorry when I leave your feminocratic shores to move to Uzbekistan and find a REAL woman who can appreciate a REAL man, not like you American harpies!
In conclusion, wah wah wah!
Did I miss anything?
Hey Sean, if you are around can you pop on IM for a minute, I want to talk schedule with you regarding torturing rich people with Xmas music.
