Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

jiggles pompoms

tries not to stare at Fays "pompoms"...must look in eyes...must look in eyes! :-p

I was skimming and I misread the first reference as "pornpoms," and it all went south from there.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think that means I deserve extra Jilli time, or fashion guidance, or something.

I'm pretty sure it means you should play dress up with Ple and Jilli.

And take pictures.

Yes, I'm certain that's the right course to take.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am so sad. I went to Jilli's LJ post right away, and I'm all LOCAL now....and someone had already claimed the one thing my size.

Ooh. Erm. (Currently trying to figure out my measurements. I can't find a tape measure. I am a total dork and measured with a strip of return address labels, after measuring and seeing that each label is exactly two inches.) Pretty stuff! Maybe possibly sorta my size? Pondering.

t edit: Huh? The waist measurement that I'm getting is six inches bigger than what Gap says is the measurement for the size jeans I always wear there.

Our wings are not tired

Is there a direct flight from Southern California (like San Diego to Burbank area) to Orlando area?

Delta and United both have direct flights from LAX to MCO (Orlando). Kayak.com is good for finding flights.

Hil, my favorite faux-tape-measure is to use a piece of string or ribbon, and then compare to length(s) of paper...

But sizes are crazy, anyway. Especially with low-rise jeans. I'm hoping the pendulum swings a little higher, but not ridiculous high...

OK, more careful measuring got that my waist is somewhere in the general neighborhood of 34 inches. Which is still more than what the size chart says, but not by much, so I'll figure it's about accurate.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

#5 is alive! She's much cuter in person. It wasn't as terribly awkward as I thought it might be; we were talking the whole time (about ninety minutes; we kept talking even after the check was on the table). We mostly talked about work and the Bay Area and traveling and stuff. Regular stuff.

She was nice. I liked her. She seems like a good person.

I felt like I sucked. I felt like a big block of boring who barely said anything and when words came out they were not very interesting. But she said it was nice meeting me and that we would talk after we got back from our respective trips (amusingly, we're both going on trips tomorrow). So...I guess that's good.

I am leaving early tomorrow morning, so I probably won't see people's responses. You should include an easily searchable word like "Anansi" I can look for when I get back, in case I don't have time to lollygag about online while I'm gone.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Welcome to the Anansi tribe, Sunil! I'm glad that meeting #5 wasn't painful. And I bet the young lady in question thought you were a good listener, and enjoyed talking with you.
