GRIS! Hi! Missed you! I watched the first ep of Gossip Girl, but the whole moving thing means I missed last week. The friend out here who watches ANTM warned me that the group she watches with has been doing Gossip Girl as well, so I don't know that I love it, but I'll be watching!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'd say every time he is acting asshat like, to say, "Hey, you were wanting help in not being an asshat. part of that is knowing when you are. Guess what. Right now, you are!"

I'm wondering iif t is possible to offer a conditional acceptance of the apology - that condition being he has to listen without getting angry, to that kind of prompt. I mean, working with developmentally disabled adults, I experience all kinds of bad behavior - intentional and otherwise. Not that I'm likening this guy to persons with mental retardation, but he has obviously exhibited delays in developing social skills. One of the things we say to the residents is "Please don't ____: It's not appropriate." It's said in a neutral tone of voice rather than arch or prim or shocked, and it gets pretty decent results. If your family can discuss this with the asschapeau delightful personage in question openly, perhaps you could negotiate a phrase that you can all use, that will help him to reevaluate his behavior, without getting defensive. There is always the "When you ____, I feel ____," formula. Of course, it's not easy to use that when you have no confidence in how it will be received and acted on - but again, if he really means the words of his apology, then this is something that can be negotiated.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Annabel is becoming such a little girl! She does have a bigger build than Franny, she's more like her BF.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Laga, how could he not realize that you'd probably share that email with your family members who got the identical apology? The mind boggles. But still, I'd say an apology might be a teeny, weeny baby step in the right direction.

Owen'll be 3 1/2 on Thursday and he's still in some 2 Ts. The pants are now a shade too short but some 3 Ts are still too big for him.

Liv can still wear some 12-18 month stuff and she's just at 20 months.

I have to go by weight on childrens' clothes because the sizing is freakishly different from brand to brand.

I never figured I'd have teeny kids but my perspective is sort of skewed. I try to remember that I didn't start to outpace my peers in size until I was an adult and was a pretty scrawny kid. DH and I neither are very tall.

My sleep is so fucked. Insomnia stalks me every night because I keep thinking of house issues.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Oh dear, Cashmere. Hope that gets settled for you pretty quickly so sleep can return.

I am a doofus and misread the photo scavenger rules for the deadline. And then I posted, but not where everyone else did. I'm not an lj user, so I'm inept with it, but some of my photos were fun. Anybody here want to see? [link]

O Cash. I hear ya. Insomnia keeps me up late too. I've learned if I go to bed before brain gets pretty numbed, I end up staying awake tossing n turning even longer, so might as well watch the idiotbox and cruise the web, etc. One thing that really has helped me is my iPod. I've made a nighty night playlist with songs about night, sleep, and such. All tend to be on the mellow side. And the 2nd half of songs are all instrumental. Vast majority of the time, I'm asleep before the instrumental pieces kick in. It really has helped me. YRMV, of course. But possibly something worth trying. By this point, I'm sure there is a bit of Pavlovian response to the tunes and the order. Dunno. It works. Not gonna complain about it.

Good luck! Don't fret! Things will work out. Your smart!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kids were up at 6:30. I'm going to have to figure this sleep thing out pronto, else I won't be able to function. Hopefully, we'll know more today. We're supposed to talk to the relocation team and they can answer a lot of questions. I'm also hoping that we can talk to a realtor by midweek to see what we need to do.

Now I have to figure out breakfast for them and get coffee made for me.

Thrive to spite them

Morning Bitches! Or Timelies.

Cash, sorry to hear about the insomnia.

My morning has sucked. I woke up late and then got pulled over for speeding. In a school zone, I didn't realize I'd gotten to the school zone yet when the guy walked out with the radar gun. He didn't fine me for being in a school zone, but I also didn't have my seat belt on.

So that's about $200+ in fines I don't have.

t hugs Cash and askye

I am so tired that I just want to curl up and cry. Four hours of sleep is not enough. It's my own fault; I worked until midnight and then couldn't stop my brain until after 1. Somehow that isn't comforting me in the least.

But on a happier note...

Happy Birthday, Omnis!

Oh, askye. That's a shitty start to the week.

But you should totally wear your seatbelt.

After a few sips of coffee, I could feel a headache start, so I dumped hte cup. I hope it was in time to avoid a full blown incident.

We've got speech therapy today and at least three people coming to pick up freecycle items.
