Annabel has just discovered Google Earth.
She came downstairs from an aborted attempt at a nap just as I'd finished downloading it to this laptop. I was going to play around with some of the older European maps, refresh my memory of a crossroads I'd chosen for the next scene of my WIP. But when Annabel caught sight of the view of the U.S. that comes up when the software launches, she exclaimed that it was like her puzzle--the 50-state puzzle her grandma bought her back in August. She proceeded to bring me the pieces one by one, at which point I'd search for the state in question so she could compare the puzzle piece to the map.
Eventually I'll get to look up that crossroads town with convenient wooded hill for concealing a small body of troops....
OK, SO FUNNY--so, I mentioned on LJ I'd been invited to a cupcake decorating party by one of the people I met last night.
I get online just now, and my ONE QUEER FRIEND in town is like "OMG, is it the same cupcake decorating party I'm invited to?" and it IS! Hee. Go, Seattle! (Apparently J worked with the girl throwing it for a week, and won't know anyone else there! How funny is that??)

Hmmm...so, the med that was prescribed to me today? Online drug info shows that you shouldn't use it if you've got asthma. But, not only was it okayed by the doc that prescribed it (who knew I had asthma), but my PCP said it was ok (when I called to check about something else). So, it's ok, right?
Why do I keep reading Daniel Silva books? They just make me crazy. And I keep thinking they're going to get better, but they just keep getting worse. I'm pretty sure this is the third book in a row where a
respected moderate Muslim academic
has turned out to be a terrorist. Really? Three of them?
These books were so much better when he was tracking Nazis and restoring paintings. Sometimes simultaneously.
Question for the hivemind parents:
Bumper pads for the crib--do they come in one piece or four pieces now?
I've only ever seen the one-piece ones, vw.
Mine is one piece, but it's a 5+ year-old hand-me-down.
Hmmmm...interesting. The patterns my mom is finding is for four-piece bumper pads, and she thinks that's crazy. I'll tell her she's right.
While we're on the subject (kind of), I also have a question for Buffista parents - do the baby clothes on Cafepress run small, large, true to size?
(I want a Gothic Charm School Babybat onesie for Dylan to wear on Halloween. He'll be 5.5 months, but some 6-month sized clothes are already too small for him - especially once they've been washed - , and baby clothes are even more randomly sized than womens' jeans.)
