While we're on the subject (kind of), I also have a question for Buffista parents - do the baby clothes on Cafepress run small, large, true to size?

(I want a Gothic Charm School Babybat onesie for Dylan to wear on Halloween. He'll be 5.5 months, but some 6-month sized clothes are already too small for him - especially once they've been washed - , and baby clothes are even more randomly sized than womens' jeans.)

Because books.

It's always best to go by weight, Jess, but if the Cafepress stuff doesn't give a range for each size, I might go up to the bigger size, to allow for washing. And hey, he can wear it longer that way.

Yeah, their size chart is by chest circumference and rise instead of weight. 'Cause really, who doesn't know their baby's chest circumference off the top of their head?

And I just realized I can't count - he'll be 4.5 months, not 5.5. 6-months is probably a safer size bet than 12 at this point.

Chest circumference? Do they even measure that in well-baby checks?!

I'd get the 6-month, yeah. It's probably 6-9 month, right? (By the way, Dylan is an absolute cutiehead, and I think of him all the time, because there are SO MANY cute clothes on sale for his size at work -- H&M.)

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I was going to say go for the 9-month, but if the next size up is 12-month, the 6-months probably run a little bigger than if they had an intermediate size.

It's all guesswork, though. AB is mostly in 4T now, but some shirts in that size come to her knees and swallow her arms.

Aw, thank you!

Looking at the store again, there are infant t-shirts as well as onesies, which I think will be a safer bet for buying sight unseen. D's tall (well, long) for his age, but has fairly average shoulders.
