[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Suzi, how's your dizziness? Has it gone away?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Not gone. I think I've gotten good at recognizing when a wave is coming and compensating. I don't see my doc until the 10th. Though I figure if the MRI showed something major, I'd have gotten a call by now.

I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that this may just be me now. I mean, everything else is coming up fine - blood work, heart, head.... Whatever.

I don't feel as unsteady as I did a couple of weeks ago, so that is a plus.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The lymphedema in my right arm has flared up and currently the only way they have, at least in the U.S., to bring the swelling down is to have the arm rewrapped every day, Monday through Friday, with progressively tighter short-stretch bandages. It's partly my fault; I failed to wear the stupid compression garment on the arm 24 hours a day. I've always been good at doing prescribed therapy, but there's just no end to this. It's just so fucking daily.

Ginger says, "In October, don't give your money to breast cancer 'awareness.' Give it to research into lymphedema, a side effect of breast cancer treatment that affects up to 30% of women who have surgery." We do fuck all in the U.S., particularly as compared with Australia and Europe. Why? It's not sexy, it's gross. Treatment is not likely to make anyone much money. I think I feel an essay brewing.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My cousin has to wear a compression bandage for lymphedema as well, Ginger. What a pain.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yikes, Ginger. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Ugh.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Thanks for the good wishes, CaBil! I'm a huge fan of Paizo, if for no other reason than the entire company, right up to the CEO, hangs out on their message boards, ready to answer questions and otherwise geek out with other geeks.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I've not posted here in a bit and only had time to do a quick skim just now, so please forgive my lame mini-meara.

I'm sorry you have to leave D.C., but I'm very happy you're joining us on the left coast, meara. Happy travels!

Suzi, ugh. I'd hoped that the vertigo would have passed by now. I hope it goes away soon.

Ginger, that sucks. I will remember your soapbox and donate to lymphedema research next time I have the resources to do so.

Publishing~ma, Sean!!

I too am Aimee what with the paranoid over-analysis of posts long past.

I know there's more I wanted to say, but I'm blanking. Hugs and ~ma to anyone I missed.

I am falling asleep at my desk right now. Thank the gods for caffeine; I wouldn't have managed to teach my first three classes without it. I still have two more to go, today, and I should really be grading in the couple of hours between my last class and my next. I'm sure you are all shocked that I am not doing so. I'm just so exhausted, you know? It takes so much energy to get the girls revved up and into the lesson that I collapse like a rag doll any time I get a break. Mornings with three classes in a row (plus a 25 minute advisory) are the worst.

This is probably a joke, but I don't care. Lingerie 4 Men. Watch the ad, it's priceless.

move out and draw fire

I'm a huge fan of Paizo, if for no other reason than the entire company, right up to the CEO, hangs out on their message boards, ready to answer questions and otherwise geek out with other geeks.

I'm a huge fan of Paizo also, because a) they send us free stuff; b) their stuff is often what I would publish if I could quit my day job and become a game designer, and c) they got hosed by WOTC.

I'm just so exhausted, you know? It takes so much energy to get the girls revved up and into the lesson that I collapse like a rag doll any time I get a break.

{{{Kristin}}} It's like parenting, x20.

October: Mummy Arm Awareness Month. More seasonal anyway.

When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

Sox, are you out there? I think I'm ready to stop lurking... :P
