have a good DC day meara! Any big plans?

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Holy crap! Tomorrow, we have you!
shakes fist at meara-stealin' west coast
OMG! meara, I just remembered - you can't leave! There's a law or something...

I have to go back to weeks of having a mummy arm today. Sigh.
What's up, Ginger? And that sucks.
North Beach is indeed a cool nabe. Especially any time that it's not Friday or Saturday night.
meara! You're gonna be over here soon! Cool!!
Meara on my coast, but still so far away. Also, not fair.
I'm at my cousin's place, "working" and waiting for the call to go pick up mom. My cousin air conditions the HECK out of her place, so I froze all night. Am still cold, darn it.
Suzi, how's your dizziness? Has it gone away?
Not gone. I think I've gotten good at recognizing when a wave is coming and compensating. I don't see my doc until the 10th. Though I figure if the MRI showed something major, I'd have gotten a call by now.
I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that this may just be me now. I mean, everything else is coming up fine - blood work, heart, head.... Whatever.
I don't feel as unsteady as I did a couple of weeks ago, so that is a plus.
The lymphedema in my right arm has flared up and currently the only way they have, at least in the U.S., to bring the swelling down is to have the arm rewrapped every day, Monday through Friday, with progressively tighter short-stretch bandages. It's partly my fault; I failed to wear the stupid compression garment on the arm 24 hours a day. I've always been good at doing prescribed therapy, but there's just no end to this. It's just so fucking daily.
Ginger says, "In October, don't give your money to breast cancer 'awareness.' Give it to research into lymphedema, a side effect of breast cancer treatment that affects up to 30% of women who have surgery." We do fuck all in the U.S., particularly as compared with Australia and Europe. Why? It's not sexy, it's gross. Treatment is not likely to make anyone much money. I think I feel an essay brewing.
t / steps off soapbox
My cousin has to wear a compression bandage for lymphedema as well, Ginger. What a pain.
