I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My sister (who has a cat which isn't allowed outdoors) has neighbors who have either two sphynxes or a sphynx and a rex, which they allow out.

Huh. Generally people don't let sphynxes out, due to their tendency to get sunburned or too cold or whatever.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I'm gonna feel dirty, slutty, whorish for asking this...

Boy has just started working for Apple, and we now get a forty percent discount on Apple products

Does that discount extend to Buffistas???

(Told you. Makes me feel cheap. But a $210 160gb classic. Heck, I can afford that!) Doubt its possible, but worth a try? no? ok. maybe not. carry on.

Librarian Warlord

My predecessor in this job (who is now retired) just forwarded me an email from a professor.

The professor was replying to an email my predecessor sent in 2002 offering training on a certain database. The whole thing says, "I see the date on this and I don't know how I missed it but yes I'd like training."

Kitty ~ma, erika!

Is the database still functional?? Seems like something I was trained on in 2002 may or may not even EXIST anymore, given computers...

Honestly, I have no idea; He just started today. Although, even with the discount, I bet it'd still be cheaper for you to buy stuff in the States than it would be over here, where everything is more expensive and the euro is crazy strong against the dollar.

I think it would be quite an imposition for invisible friends from the Internet to take advantage of Jars' DH's discount. IMO.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Rocky, go home right now. I mean it.

Hey vw! I need advice from a quilter! (Or really, anyone who has a better grasp of measurements than me, which is probably most of you.)

The info for this fabric [link] says that the stripe repeat is about 1/2". I ... can't figure out what that means. Does it mean that there are two stripes per inch? Or are the stripes smaller?

hippocampus - Oct 02, 2007 11:28:12 am PDT #8134 of 10001
not your mom's socks.

I think I just accepted a freelance gig that I knew last week I didn't want to do. A pox on cold medicine.

pretty fabric Jilli - I think there are more, smaller stripes.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Jilli, I believe that it means that there's one pink stripe and one black stripe per 1/2". I think.
