[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Does that discount extend to Buffistas???

Honestly, I have no idea; He just started today

I think it would be quite an imposition for invisible friends from the Internet to take advantage of Jars' DH's discount. IMO.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Rocky, go home right now. I mean it.

Hey vw! I need advice from a quilter! (Or really, anyone who has a better grasp of measurements than me, which is probably most of you.)

The info for this fabric [link] says that the stripe repeat is about 1/2". I ... can't figure out what that means. Does it mean that there are two stripes per inch? Or are the stripes smaller?

not your mom's socks.

I think I just accepted a freelance gig that I knew last week I didn't want to do. A pox on cold medicine.

pretty fabric Jilli - I think there are more, smaller stripes.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Jilli, I believe that it means that there's one pink stripe and one black stripe per 1/2". I think.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

job~ma requested for DH. A position he interviewed for last week just asked him for references, so definitely a good sign, but he's a bit discombobulated because his go-to rave reference of a former boss is out of the country and currently unavailable. He's asking someone he recently freelanced for to step in.

He really needs a new job--he's *so* not happy where he is right now. And this one would be good because it's still in the university system, so we wouldn't have to fuss with insurance and retirement and so on changing.

vw, they should totally have told you that there was a limit to how many tutorials you could take. Eejits.

Well, yes. And, now it turns out that we can actually be paid for up to 40 hours a week, so she freaked me out unnecessarily. I mean, I do still need to do something about the crazy number of appointments, because it is too much. But, now I can do it on my own terms.

Much kitty~ma for erika! So scary!

The professor was replying to an email my predecessor sent in 2002 offering training on a certain database. The whole thing says, "I see the date on this and I don't know how I missed it but yes I'd like training."

Um…wha? People really are stupid.

Actually, I think it means that both stripes together are a 1/2". They look pretty skinny, but quite lovely! (and equilter is a fabulous company to order from. They are pretty much my only online fabric store).

Much job~ma for Susan’s DH!

So, I had a very good day. Which is weird, because nothing really huge happened, but it was a really good day.

Always Anti-fascist!

The kitty's back...he was over at the next buliding, hanging out on their stairs. His paws are dirty, but he's okay.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

which means she has to try to explain that "yes, I know those cats but they aren't MY cats; MY cat is the little calico sitting in the window hissing".
Rocky needs to come home [eta: Good, Rocky! Welcome home and never worry us like this again, man.] and this needs to stop making me giggle. Because my cats are indoor only which is, apparently, not the norm here.

First, they're going to need a Tardis.
