Nice acronym, Mom!

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's very much NOT how I want my students looking at me.

I'm not sure how my co-workers look at me because of it. Though I do get teased. As for how your students look at you...you've got that all taken care of and happily sewn up.

I shop with abandon for stuff I have no need to wear. But I'm hardly responsible for anyone other than myself (and...even then...the amount of corsetry I could get with just one month's worth of hospital bills...sad).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, well for me that really isn't an option. That's very much NOT how I want my students looking at me.

Are you teaching mitosis? Because they should learn about cleavage.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

(I still pine for amych's scarlet shantung silk corset from the very first F2F)

That's funny, because I still pine for your black and gold dragonfly number.

Buffista Corset Exchange?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Are you teaching mitosis? Because they should learn about cleavage.

You see what I mean?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Buffista Corset Exchange?

I already passed on the dragonfly number to my wee Gothic Michael Jackson impersonator cousin; the last time I tried it on and attempted to tighten the laces, it bit me. So, no more dragonfly corset.

Thus, clearly I need a new one.

Clearly taken. My corset's an underbust, though, so it doesn't affect my cleavage outside of affecting my posture.

The second corset, the one for which I'll have to scam myself, I want that to be overbust, and I'm not sure where that'll get displayed.

I would love a corset exchange. I still have a red satin Sweetheart Victorian overbust corset from Meschantes that I want to sell or swap to someone. [link]

Mostly lurking...

Ok. I need to bitch to my Bitches.

I had six tutoring sessions today and an hour and a half class. Also, the professor I work with passed around my available hours for tutoring for the rest of the week. The sheet was not only filled, but three students put their names and e-mails on the back asking me to contact them with possible other times. And then I had received two e-mails from students who weren't able to make it to class today and wanted me to fill in a time for them. That makes a total of between 21 and 23 hour-long tutoring sessions this week.

Which, ok, is a lot. More than I would like, but they have their first papers due next week and need a little encouragement. I really think it's going to calm down after that, when they realize they really are on the right track.

So, this afternoon, while I was waiting for one of my students, I ran into my tutoring seminar professor. I had a question to ask her, and it came out that I had a really busy tutoring week. She asked how many sessions, and I said I'd have to count, since I'd just gotten the sheet. I took out the sheet, and she was like, "That's one week?" And I'm all, "That doesn't count today."

"No. You can't do that many sessions. You're only allowed 10."

"Um, that would have been helpful information *before* I passed out the sign-up sheet."

So, I go to my class, which was TERRIBLE. This is my senior thesis seminar, and the professor is really not helpful. Actually, we walked out of class today and one of my classmates said, "So, condescending much?" And, it really was. It was bizarre. We are essentially the top 9 seniors in the English program, and he's treating us like we're incapable freshman. It's really weird. My paper I got back today? His only comments were complete nit-picks. And his big main comment? "You have your work cut out for you." Um. Thanks. And this is weird to me, because I've had him before, and I liked him. Craziness.

So, after that class, I go back to see my tutoring seminar prof and ask her what I'm supposed to do. Well, she tells me I have to bring my sign-up sheet to class tomorrow and give up all the rest of my appointments for the rest of the week. I was like, "Wha?" And she's like, "I have to go to a meeting."

And then I had another student. I had planned to work in my mentor professor's office again, but I couldn't find anyone to unlock the door for me. The secretaries had already gone home, so we walked over to another building and worked there. We had a really good session, despite the fact I was really frustrated.

After we finished I realized that I had left my fleece and Spanish book and workbook in my mentor prof's office. And I have a Spanish test tomorrow. And all of the homework for the beginning of the semester is due before the test. So, I really needed my books. So, back over I go and search for someone who might have a master key. No one does. So, I radically accept that I'm buying a new book and starting the homework all over tonight. Then a nice secretary called security to let me in. I waited 15 minutes, and the nice security lady came and let me in. Finally! I could go home.

Now I get to deal with the scheduling issue. I need to e-mail the prof and ask her to call me, because I'm really not comfortable with just handing the students over without them having a say in the matter. I want to see if I can negotiate finishing off this week, then meeting with the classes next week to let them know that I only have a finite number of appointments, and if the sign-up sheet fills up, they'll have to meet with another tutor.

Oh, and I have to study Spanish (and finish up all the homework) so hopefully I won't bomb the test.

Is it Friday yet?
