Now tagless for your comfort.

Raq, do you have a Lifetime Fitness anywhere nearby? I highly recommend them for their excellent childcare--great hours and service.

I second this recommendation. I SO wish we had one nearby. I miss having my Lifetime Fitness right down the street.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Home. Worked at the office a half day, then went to the new!house and saw DH and awesome Hired Carpenter Dude Friend finish putting in a glass block window in the kitchen, which looks great. My job was replacing old crappy 70's doorknobs with inexpensive-but-nice brushed nickel door handles. These here: [link]

Thanks hon. I decided to come to the fair alone, because why not? I don't think I'm ever going to find my car again.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Anne, I'm so sorry for your loss and the family craziness that's going on.

I had a strangely lazy, yet productive, day. I made two black faux-fur stoles/collars to wear with little jackets (one lined in black silk brocade, one lined in pink&black striped satin), picked apples (in the pouring rain, from the tree in my yard, and they have been sent home with my friend who loves to make jam and applesauce), and made a huge amount of rose cordial (again, with my friend the canning and latke fairy). I'm trying to decide if I want to make another fur collar after dinner.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just talked with mom. She continues to heal. She finally got them to give her real food and she said she had a great lunch and a decent dinner. She also did 4 laps around the unit, toting her IV pole and other medical machinery. All good news.

She is hoping they will spring her Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm planning on going back up tomorrow night so I will have the get away car at the ready.

I REALLY appreciate everyone's good wishes and support. It means a bunch. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I made workout pants. Now that I know I can do it, I need to get more cord, and I can make 2 more pairs. Slightly irritatingly, I did not buy enough fabric for full-length, so they're capri-length, unless I add on a stripe at the bottom. Still debating that one.

Hooray for productivity.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Anne}}} I'm so sorry for your loss.

TCG and I finally went out last night to celebrate our engagement and had a very nice dinner. Today we went to Mom's house for a huge meal, which I shouldn't have eaten because I had an awful stomach ache this morning, but it was yummy. It was a good weekend.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You should both have post-and-grade get-togethers. You could snark at the essay answers. Okay, that's probably not ethical. But it'd be funny.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

GF and I met with the designer for our bathroom remodel yesterday. We are excited! We picked out some really pretty striped (more organic looking - not a symmetrical stripe) tile in shades of blue, gray, and beige for shower & floor, and a nice sink with a low-profile cherry wood base. He is drawing up a design and we meet again next Saturday to finalize the details. It's going to be more than we anticipated, but worth it because this company does it all - no need to deal with a million people. Also, we have friends who just remodeled their kitchen with this company and were thrilled with the results. Yay new bathroom!!
