Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. I overslept, and missed pretty much every author I wanted to see at National Book Festival. I even had my alarm clock set, and I've got absolutely no memory of waking up and turning off the alarm.

So glad to hear that the surgery went well, Suzi.

Safe flight to Joe. I gave him a hug at 6 a.m. as he and Drew were leaving to go to the airport and told him it was nice to almost see him. I hope I get a chance to spend some quality time with all of the Miracleborns soon.

Hil, that's so frustrating.

I'm too tired to envy the FSF peeps, but I hope you all have a blast.

I really want to go to the LA Country Fair, but it's not looking like that's a possibility. Feh. It's the last weekend that it's open, so I'm a bit bummed. ND and co. are heading to Knotts for their Halloween thing tonight. I'm not really all that into scary theme parks, but I'll probably go just to spend some time with him. I'll be really glad when Universal's Halloween is fully up and running and I can spend a little time with him again.

I had really bad dreams all night last night. One part of my dream involved renting the top floor of Plei & DH's house (only it wasn't their real house--this was one of those tall Victorians), and the house was haunted by something nasty. Brrr. Yucky nightmares.

Art Crawl!!!

Hil - that's too bad but you must have really, really needed the sleep.

I slept in, a bit. Fed the cats. I think that one of them is eating the new food and the other is not. I'm not sure which.

This means I have to watch them when I feed them again tonight.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Debet, my blood sister!

Now I'm tired but have a full day and evening planned. Ugh.

Seriously - moving the little button on on this computer is hard work Talked to my mom about the low iron stuff - turns out my grandmother( i knew that) and my aunt on my dad's side suffered/suffer from anemia - and my mom has had periodic bouts of anemia.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Every time I clean the kitchen and leave, it mysteriously gets dirty and smelly by the time I return.

This happens to me and I live alone.

Ditto, but not just the kitchen! Why? WHY!? Why can't I get the "clean the house" fairies. Noooo I have to get the "lets make the place messy" ones.

ION. While waking up this morning. Stretching legs, and as I was twisting my leg to n fro I felt the thigh bone rotate out of the knee about an 1/8th turn. I FROZE, and rotated back in. Felt the thunk as it popped back in place. CREEPY! It didn't hurt so much, but it felt sooo...sooo..SooOooo FREAKY. :: shivers :: Just what I need, to make my bad knee worse. It's not like I can walk with 2 sets of crutches. Uggg.

Mostly lurking...

Home from a big day of celebration for my dad. It was really nice. Big party and stuff. I'm SO exhausted, though. And I really need to get some work done.

Also, dad gave mom what I think are the most beautiful red roses I've ever seen, thanking her for all of her support over the years. It was really special.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Heh. DH's alma mater (Colorado) just beat the alma mater of everyone else in his entire family (Oklahoma) on a last-second field goal. I think he went upstairs to call his brothers and gloat.
