Happy Birthday Nicole!
'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
because I could well comprehend not needing one if you were a normal person, but my pain threshold was way too low.
I think many, many "normal" women need an epidural!
My tattoos mostly didn't hurt me very much. Or it wasn't the kind of pain that bothered me anyway. Except mah tramp stamp! I was convinced there was some kind of nerve running up the bottom right of my spine because whenever the needle went up that way it burned like dying! (My doctor friend says nothing anatomical should make this part hurt more than, say, the other side of my spine.) But it was a totally bearable pain. Made more bearable by the super hot dude giving me the tattoo (can't remember his name but he was at Sacred Rose on Guerrero, SFistas. I know he was there at least up until a couple of years ago.)
Happy Birthday, Nicole!
My ankle tattoo hurt worse than my back tattoo. But I had kids in between so I think labor reset my scales a bit.
Kids sacked out on the sofa watching Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I think I'm going to join them for a nap.
I am in a terrible mood. The nebulous situation I'm stuck in at my job (does anyone on my team even have a job? No one knows!) has brought out all of my worst slacker tendencies. We have pointless busywork to do, and I just don't wanna.
Happy Birthday, Nicole!
Happy birthday, Nicole!
I'm not sure about my worst pain. I spent a year plus with nerve damage to my knee, walking on a cane and crying in the shower every morning--I think that hurt worse than the migraines do, but it was easier to bear.
We have a couple Shocknives at the centre, and I can take those on extra high slashed against my inner thigh without any visible sign. In fact, we use me as the "Oh, go on! It's not that bad...let's slash ita" example to lull people into getting slashed the first time.
Which is totally mean, but so am I.
I have a friend at krav who also takes it without flinching, but upped the ante by taking a taser charge without flinching or falling once the current was turned off, like everyone else had to. Of course he's also invited people to hit him in the groin repeatedly so he can make a point, so he's way not normal.
And to think--he's a guy I'm supposed to be more alpha male than.
Oh, and my tat didn't really hurt (below sternum). Just tedious and uncomfortable.
Is he cute?
Because you two could breed a race of super humans.
(It's worth considering.)

Good god.
ION, am about to cut out of work early (with my whole department) for drinks. Unlike the rest of them, however, I have done NO work today. Maybe not no. Maybe like, .2. Wait, but that would be like a fifth of the day, i.e., more than an hour. So no, not even close. More like, I have done .05 work today. Whoot! Drinky time!

It would never work. He wants sons he can transfer his consciousness into, and I want an army of daughters that look like me but taller to pillage and plunder the world in their mama's name.
He's obviously being selfish.
I don't think I have any worst pain memories. I may have an incredibly low pain tolerance and I wouldn't know. I'm just incredibly lucky, I guess, or majorly lame in not doing anything with any risk at all. But I've never broken a bone. I've never been burned or slashed or undergone surgery or had any significant disease. Hell, I've never even been stung by a bee.
Turned my ankles a bunch of times, quelling what I'm sure would otherwise have been a long and storied career in dance (ha!), but other than that, nothing, really.
