Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Nicole!

I'm not sure about my worst pain. I spent a year plus with nerve damage to my knee, walking on a cane and crying in the shower every morning--I think that hurt worse than the migraines do, but it was easier to bear.

We have a couple Shocknives at the centre, and I can take those on extra high slashed against my inner thigh without any visible sign. In fact, we use me as the "Oh, go on! It's not that bad...let's slash ita" example to lull people into getting slashed the first time.

Which is totally mean, but so am I.

I have a friend at krav who also takes it without flinching, but upped the ante by taking a taser charge without flinching or falling once the current was turned off, like everyone else had to. Of course he's also invited people to hit him in the groin repeatedly so he can make a point, so he's way not normal.

And to think--he's a guy I'm supposed to be more alpha male than.

Oh, and my tat didn't really hurt (below sternum). Just tedious and uncomfortable.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is he cute?

Because you two could breed a race of super humans.

(It's worth considering.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good god.

ION, am about to cut out of work early (with my whole department) for drinks. Unlike the rest of them, however, I have done NO work today. Maybe not no. Maybe like, .2. Wait, but that would be like a fifth of the day, i.e., more than an hour. So no, not even close. More like, I have done .05 work today. Whoot! Drinky time!

It would never work. He wants sons he can transfer his consciousness into, and I want an army of daughters that look like me but taller to pillage and plunder the world in their mama's name.

He's obviously being selfish.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I don't think I have any worst pain memories. I may have an incredibly low pain tolerance and I wouldn't know. I'm just incredibly lucky, I guess, or majorly lame in not doing anything with any risk at all. But I've never broken a bone. I've never been burned or slashed or undergone surgery or had any significant disease. Hell, I've never even been stung by a bee.

Turned my ankles a bunch of times, quelling what I'm sure would otherwise have been a long and storied career in dance (ha!), but other than that, nothing, really.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Happy Birthday, Nicole!

It's bedtime here. Although still slightly jetlagged so not sleep right at the moment, but I'll try so as to reset quicker.

I second brenda's "Good god" regarding the shock knives though. Yeesh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

He wants sons he can transfer his consciousness into, and I want an army of daughters that look like me but taller to pillage and plunder the world in their mama's name.

Sounds like with the right lab you could both be satisfied.

It's possible I read too much science fiction.

Punishingly Intricate

Breaking my finger wasn't really painful (until after, as it recovered...but even then it wasn't bad) but seeing the weird way it was bent made me woozy.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Pain. O ya. Been there, done that. Still get it. Ick. Worst pain, by far, was the back surgeries. And the 1st one somehow gave me gas pains that the morphine couldn't cut. Didn't feel the back after the morphine shots, but the pain in the adomen. O ya. Go figure. Tho, I do love the morphine! Thankfully didn't get hooked, but if, lord forbid, I got something that makes life not worth living anymore. Hit me up with morphine baby! Let me ride into the afterlife.

That said. Installed a bunch of new plugins for the work studio (what a PITA, and a total waste of packaging, if the first thing they say is "download the latest update...". Also got a FREE update to Vectorworks. (I updated it a month before the BIG update...so I just have to over-pay the shipping for the new disks).

OK, back to work... I'm not here... really. working.

(ps: vw! OMG what a morning. You did more before your shower than I do all day sometimes! :: swoon :: )
