What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A little, yes. But in a constructive manner, which is at least the good kind of crazy.

Mostly lurking...

I don't know where this morning productivity is coming from. I think it's partially that I know that when I get home I have no energy, so if I'm going to get *anything* done, it needs to be in the morning, but geez. I'm really on a roll today.

And, with that, I must shower and get ready for the day.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just got an email from a woman selling a sit & stand stroller for $25! That's so cheap and it's mine to pick up. I'll need to arrange for that pick up and figure out what's the best time to take the kids to the gym.

DH leaves this afternoon for central Wisconsin for a job interview tomorrow. The job would be a 50% pay increase and a cost of living decrease but it's in a much smaller town so I'm a little ambivalent about whether I want him to get the job.

Of course, this means two days on my own with the Toddler Squad.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Seeing a Joss-related actor doing well elsewhere always makes me very happy.

Which reminds me, I watched Chuck the other night (with Adam Baldwin) and it was really good.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Cash, it occurs to me I never responded to you about the possibility of a job for your DH in Southfield.

Come! Come to the Detroit area! Come live in Ypsilanti with me and we shall have glorious times!

Heh. I mentioned that to him, Aimee. We'll see if he gets an interview. Thing is, he likes his job but he's getting sort of jerked around. His boss promised him a promotion this summer that he has yet to see. He's started getting the responsibilities, but not the title or the money.

Hence the job search. It's not as if DH started calling--he just took a call from a recruiter and the offers started flowing in. We'll see what comes of it. He could always give his boss a chance to counter.

I missed Chuck and need to see if it's available online. I suspect it conflicts with Monday Night Football so I need to start recording it.

I need to finish getting us dressed so we can go to the gym.

Is it the Steven's Point job that he's looking at?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

His boss promised him a promotion this summer that he has yet to see. He's started getting the responsibilities, but not the title or the money.

Ah, I know this well (when Tom went through it over the past year or so). It's so frustrating and angry-making!

Librarian Warlord

does the hivemind know of a good way to get shampoo smell off books?

Er. I would wipe them off the best you can. If they're not rare, or precious to you, I'd set them out in the sun and let the fresh air and orb do their work. If they're damp from the shampoo, you could also put cloth or paper between the pages and put a weight on top for a couple of days to see if you can soak some out.

Job ~ma to Cash's DH! May he get an offer in a place you love or use an offer to get better treatment at his current place of employment.
