I had a whole section about civic pride.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

Is it the Steven's Point job that he's looking at?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

His boss promised him a promotion this summer that he has yet to see. He's started getting the responsibilities, but not the title or the money.

Ah, I know this well (when Tom went through it over the past year or so). It's so frustrating and angry-making!

does the hivemind know of a good way to get shampoo smell off books?

Er. I would wipe them off the best you can. If they're not rare, or precious to you, I'd set them out in the sun and let the fresh air and orb do their work. If they're damp from the shampoo, you could also put cloth or paper between the pages and put a weight on top for a couple of days to see if you can soak some out.

Job ~ma to Cash's DH! May he get an offer in a place you love or use an offer to get better treatment at his current place of employment.

ugh. I'm reacting totally disproprotionately to a weird work thing (just some document stuff) and, ugh. I should not be upset about this at all, let alone THIS upset. Hmm. What to do?

What to do?

I can think of only one solution: donuts!

Someone just emailed me about planning for a meeting that's happening next July. Now, I'm definitely a plan-ahead kind of person, but I'm not sure I can plan this far ahead.

Be upset for a while, then tell yourself that you're over it because it wasn't important in the first place. Your brain is probably just latching on to this thing to get some crying out over another thing. At least, that's what mine brain does.

TCG has my car today because his is still in the shop. He just called to say he also has my cellphone because I left it in my car.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, that was a funny sequence.

I misplaced my iPod. Is someone going to congratulate me?
