We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

The status is NOT quo.

Happy Birthday, Matilda!!!

Yay Stephanie for the doula/midwife plan!

P-C, what they said.

Omnis, we have made that observation of ourselves many-a-time over the past few years.

Blah. Am so friggin' tired that it's a miracle I can keep my eyes open at all. I'm operating on about 5 hours of sleep, but my hard work did pay off: I finally finished the first pile o'essays of the year. I've taught two classes so far today and have two more to go. Have I mentioned how much I despise 45-minute periods? Then it's off to the grocery store and home to pack for the ninth grade overnight.

Have I mentioned I'm tired? Like many of you?

I want nap time, dammit.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I mostly pickle radishes (white vinegar, rice vinegar, salt, sugar, water, let sit overnight in fridge) and use them as sandwich toppings. But I doubt that would be a solution if the problem is "too bitter."

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Nothing makes you more eager to leave your own country quicker than a trip through jail. And bureaucratic hell.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't doubt it. On the plus side, if your family is anything like mine, it gives them the chance to say "sorry, she's fled the country" every time you get a phone call.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

And bureaucratic hell.

Hmm, I don't know that you'll escape that in the UK. But at least they'll have different accents! Seriously, though, I'm glad that you've gotten everything straightened out on this end.

Hm. Well, it might be a different sort of bitter, with a little sweet in them. I might try that. Tom will eat them if I don't end up liking them, so there's nothing to lose.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

How come they say "hoodoo" so much on Supernatural?

Different kind of bureaucratic hell. I'm very eager to get back.

I think you can slow-cook radishes in a little bit of butter and salt. It's a twist on french, to cook them down.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Slice before pickling or whole? I love me pickled stuff,a nd have bnever thought to try radishes. Which I don't like raw, but I don't like raw cucumbers, either, and pickled cucmbers are something I occasionally crave with some seriousness.

Grest news, SA! You certainly deserve some trouble-free travelling. I hope it's much much easier than it has been.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I do not like radishes

Give the root part to someone who likes it (me if I'm there). Mix the leaves with lettuce in a salad; radish leaves are a sweet and not noticeably spicy green.
