I t heart Liese.
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Woohoo, sj! Congratulations!
Back from baseball game. We forgot to bring a lidded cup for Annabel (usually we bring a cup and give her water, because I don't like to caffeinate a 3-year-old), so when she announced she was thirsty, I took her with me and went to get a cup from one of the food vendors. I bought a bag of kettle corn and asked, nicely, if I could have a little cup with a lid for my daughter. The cashier wanted to charge the full $2.75 price of a youth soda for an empty cup--the only cup she would give me for free was a tiny styrofoam coffee cup with no lid. I stalked off in high dudgeon (clutching the kettle corn, as it was already paid for) and went to the next vendor. I told her we'd forgotten my daughter's sippy, and she gave me a cup for free and asked if we wanted ice. So we now officially like Ivar's/Kidd Valley better than the hot dog, nachos, & kettle corn place. I mean, $2.75 for a PAPER CUP?
There were two happily drunk Indians fans the next section over. One of them spoke to me and Annabel when we were walking up the stairs with our shishkaberries (a necessary part of AB's baseball experience). He said, "Ma'am, is that a chocolate-covered banana and strawberry shishkabob?" I replied in the affirmative, and he said to enjoy it, because it was all I'd find to enjoy about the game. I told him we Mariners fans had had a rough two months and it was unkind of him to rub it in. Pretty nice guy, for noisily drunk. But the fact he called me "ma'am" makes me suspect that my gray hair is starting to show too much. Must get hair colored before writers conference next month...
Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!
whooooppeeeeeee!!!!!
I am so excited for you and Teacup Guy , sj !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He just seemed to fit with yo9u from the start .
Love, congratulations, and Best wishes to you both
hmmm I wonder if Pete is playing Halo 3?
I'm happy for you, Sj. And apparently a little psychic...I thought about you guys as a couple this morning.
Liese that was such a cool thing you did there.
Susan I hope you asked, "is there anyone else I can talk to?" before you stalked off. I sometimes catch my staff denying stupid stuff to the guests just because they didn't know they had the power to bend the rules in certain situations.
Congratulations, sj and TCG! I'm so happy for you both! And I don't think there's such a thing as "overly schmoopy" when you just got engaged and had a romantic ride in a tow truck. And the ring sounds both lovely and meaningful.
Congratulations also to Daisy on the sweet raise.
And figure-it-out~ma to Suzi. I hope the tests find something that is easy to fix, dammit.
This was a fun day to come home and catch up on, I tell you what. I have nothing to add to the kink talk, I am the most vanilla-est I have ever been, at present.
Incidentally, there's a comic, Scary-Go-Round, that has a character named "The Boy", so of course whenever he appears I think of Teppy and her Boy.
Borscht without beets does not seem right to me at all. Though I see jars of "Borscht (with beets)" for sale on occasion, so maybe it's not so wrong to some people. And, now that I think of it, my MiL's borscht is basically a clear beet flavored broth with no chunks of anything. Which I politely eat when she serves it, but in my heart I know it's not right.
::putting jarred beets on the list::
I have to fill out my "where are they now" thing for my high school reunion. I hated hated hated high school. Is it OK if I make up a bunch of snarky shit, should I tell the honest horrid truth, or is it classier to make it sound like I had fun?
Last year I forewent my 10th year reunion. I had little to anything to say to them then and figure pretending to be interested in catching up to the same people would require more effort than I am willing to put forth. When I am rich and famous I will go and gloat. Until that time...
Eh Laga you must find the fine line between the two. And then you must cut down the tallest tree in the forest with... a herring! < /python >
1) What was your favorite memory at GSHS?
The first one that comes to mind is making out with Angel and Dave (my future ex husband) in the photo lab.
