I have a friend whose cats really only wanted running water -- she actually used to run the bath in a trickle for them.
Then she bought them a water fountain. They love it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am going to garden more. good for me.
then maybe a nap
Mom's cat does the same thing, so she always fixes a glass of ice water for both of them.
I keep meaning to get a water bottle for my bedside, because I like to drink water before bed, but Anna will knock over the cup to get to the water.
percey liked running water - but our bathroom sink didn't work.( low faucet , shallow bowl) so we had a glass by the sink. now, he can't really jump - so there is a tall ceramic thing - maybe a vase, maybe a spoon holder fo r a kitchen that he uses. anything more like a glass is better. Ask me why we use waterbottles

So, hi. How are you?
When I'm sick, I want everyone to leave me alone. Ideally, there would be some sort of mechanism that would automatically deliver soup and ice cream without my having to do anything. I am crabby with anyone who keeps checking on me and particularly crabby with people who decide to stop by and "help." I will only reluctantly accept help when the doctor requires it. They won't let you drive yourself home after surgery.
Lord, I am SO Ginger.
When I'm sick I want my mommy. No mommy substitutes shall be accepted. This usually means I get left alone when I'm sick since Mom lives too far away to just hop over and rub my tummy.
Ima doing well, Beverly. I got a bike for my birthday, and I am painfully re-acquiring "bike butt" because, ouch. Somehow that was never a problem when I was a kid.
Gracie, OTOH, not doing all that well. I'm getting tired of cleaning up after her beside-the-litterbox messes and the way she flings her food all over the room, which attracts the ants. Tired of the altercations she provokes with her peers. Tired of her stepping on my face at night on her way to my water glass.
I'm actually looking forward to the day I no longer have her in my care. Not quite ready to have her put down, but.... maybe enough is enough for this particular rescue. One good year.
I don't wanna be left alone while I'm sick. I want anxious caretakers hovering over me, offering chicken soup and ginger ale, foot rubs and books and extra blankets.

This is very much true for me as well.
Jeeves eats kibble and only kibble. I've tried him on various wet foods over the years and he ignores them. The only people food he will go after are raw veggies. He stays fairly well hydrated thanks to a water fountain, however.
Yay! Katerina Bee! Good to see you!
I think I'm going to call my landlord on Monday and ask when the last time this part of the building was snaked. Clearly there are issues.
