Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

Yeah. The menu choices at Applebee's are interesting. At least with something like the quesadilla burger thing there isn't a real food item I'm expecting the taste to resemble.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

quesadilla burger

Yeah, it's phrases like this that are the reason I don't eat at Applebees.

HA! As soon as I saw that ND ordered the quesadilla burger, I remembered when I saw an ad for it on TV a few months back and tried to describe it to Tom, but he didn't believe me. Also, he was horrified that I wanted one. Dude! Quesadilla burger! I agree with ND, when you're at Applebee's you kinda hafta... go with it. You're in Orlando, Drew, right? I remember from my travels there that chains are pretty much de rigeur. I do remember a tapas place somewhere, maybe in the vicinity of the Universal Studios? Not great tapas, but OK enough.

Anyway!

Yeah it was Orlando. I was down by the Disney property so it is all big chains and tourist traps. Disney has some really good restaurants on their property but I don't always feel like dealing with reservations and such.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

These are the same people who hear D's middle name and ask "...as in Beeblebrox?"

I would say that too. It's more of a conversation starter than a statement of the obvious. "Please tell me more about your Douglas Adams idolatry."

Happy birthday, smonster! I hope its sexilicious, though that wish is undoubtedly redundant. Anything smonster does is sexy.

These are the same people who hear D's middle name and ask "...as in Beeblebrox?" (This being apparently the only possible response other than a blank stare.)

I agree with those before me, I would probably say that as well. And I would think that I was being cool, identifying as a kindred spirit, and that you would appreciate that I knew it, you know?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's the asking it as a question that makes me raise an eyebrow. Because, really, what else could it be?

Nora, do you read Michael Ruhlman's blog? I think you'd get a kick out of this post.

[edit: And the follow-up, here..
