I'm actually doing things that I really care about, which is nice.
That is always nice.
Morning Anne!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Morning Anne!
I am gathering documents for a departmental audit. Tuesday was a ten-hour day, yesterday was eleven. Yes, I know there are people here who regularly work longer hours, but long hours slogging through documentation while people are still bugging you for help with various and sundry projects (when did I become the external brain for fifteen people? when?) is a bit brain-pureeing.
There is not enough gronk in the world. But at least there is coffee.
Anne, that sounds ick.
And yes, thank god for coffee!
I woke up an hour and a half before I needed to and four hours after I went to bed. Gronk. Making coffee.
That sounds exhausting and mind-numbing, Anne.
I think I'd hit someone if they asked me to do more than eight hours a day.
In other news, I've just found out I get twenty eight holiday days with this company! Woo! Well, sort of. I get twenty holiday days plus my eight bank holidays.

Oh, lovely!
In other news, since this audit stuff is due Friday at noon, I am absolutely going to talk to my boss and get permission to slink out a few hours early tomorrow by way of comp time.
Good evening all!
Evening, Fay! Are the stars out where you are? It's the autumn equinox on Sunday for us.
I hate my body. First there was that stupid strep throat thing, which I finally finished antibiotics for last night. Only to start developing a cold! I so do not have time for this. I'm going to try to do a nasal saline wash, and hopefully I'll get acupuncture. The acu has worked every other time for me.
Jars, that's a nice holiday time!
Anne, I hope your boss agrees to letting you go early.
Man, I am hungry and have no real food. Feh.

Well...it's dark and lots of lights are glittering, but they're of a more terrestrial nature. Don't generally see the stars until you're out of town.
