Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Yay book being done! Congrats, Hec!

You all should check out Fantasy Senate. No idea where the link is anymore, but it's hysterical if you follow politics. It's basically fantasy football with politicians. My friend Jon was totally addicted to it a couple of years ago.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Go, Hecubus! Will it be out by Christmas? Cause I'll buy it for my dad, if so.

I don't know. After being six months late I have to wait a few days before I can pester my editor about the publishing date and GETTING PAID.

But it would be lovely if it came out before xmas.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's a lot of words, Hec. It'll be a while before Annabel can tote that one to school.

Which is to say, YAY for all three of you.

Also, since that picture of the taxi outside Rockefeller turned out to be a pretty apt metaphor for my day, thanks to you all for making me smile.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A bunch of comic artists did some drawings of David Bowie: [link]

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

There is a firre somewhere.

Our wings are not tired

Okay, switching creative gears between Nickelodeon Slime Party, and Universal Halloween Horror Nights just might give me whiplash. This is what I get for editing Haunted House sounds in my hotel room.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This is what I get for editing Haunted House sounds in my hotel room.

And with any luck, the neighbors will buy that story.

Thrive to spite them

Yarrr! I got out of class early. We have a test next week which I haven't study for, but there is an extra credit portion , find a health related article (but not from Fox News) and write a one page summary. Plus at the beginning of class she had us sign in and write what our paper will be on, this after the break she actually gave us credit for it and about 5 people had skipped class.

In some ways I like her (anti Fox news) but she was very adamant that people without children should not have to pay for schools and it's unfair that she has to pay for it. This is after she said that she was worried that about half the class didn't watch/read the news on a regular basis because they'll be lawyers and social workers in the future. I thought that was contradictory but she didn't.

But I have a study partner so that's good.

I'm with Susan, I can't stand to be without a book, I take something to read every day (or I grab a paper) and I went to the school library and found something for this week. Plus I usually keep something in the car in case I end up someplace with a wait I can grab it and read.
