Buffy! If I wanted to fight, you could tell by the being dead already.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Their parents don't read; no one on television reads. Television homes rarely have bookshelves.

And yet books are often populated by people who read, or have families who read, or have bookshelves. A CONSPIRACY!

and meara - soon you'll be able to vote for a Congressional representative who actually, you know, represents you!

AND not one but TWO senators! How exciting! And you know I will be urging them to take action on DC voting rights!

Yesterday I missed my train stop because I was reading. Usually I'm good about it, but somehow miscounted, and realized I was at Catholic/Brookland rather than Fort Totten. Oops.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Heh. I have to say, as senators go, Cantwell and Murray are kinda dull. They usually vote the way I want them to, but if you could trade senators between states like baseball players I'd be agitating for Washington to throw in a legislator to be named later or two so we could swap them for cool senators like Obama and Webb.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Can I swap my senators for more liberal ones?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No! You can't have Obama.

Although he might end up leaving us and going off to be President or something....

Always Anti-fascist!

Amen. Except to get anyone to take Kyl, I'd never get my draft pick again.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can I swap my senators for more liberal ones?

I was just thinking the same way. Voting The Right Way but dull would be a very lovely thing.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I write fic on the bus, or watch SPN on my iPod. Or I read fic that I've loaded up the night before.

...

I'm kind of predictable.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sent my book in to the editor.

After a read through I think it is officially not sucky.

Should get one thorough edit before it's off to be typeset. Needs a li'l fixing but not too much. 31,860 words.

Always Anti-fascist!

Wrod to the max. SO not dull to me. Trying to find a polite way to say "homophobic war-monger motherfucker" is boring to me. Tracking McCain's flip-flops is masochistic fun, though.ETA: Go, Hecubus! Will it be out by Christmas? Cause I'll buy it for my dad, if so.

The status is NOT quo.

Yay book being done! Congrats, Hec!

You all should check out Fantasy Senate. No idea where the link is anymore, but it's hysterical if you follow politics. It's basically fantasy football with politicians. My friend Jon was totally addicted to it a couple of years ago.
