Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The other ones were So You Think You Could Dance and Top Chef, which aren't bad as reality TV goes

Aren't bad? They're the best thing since sliced bread! Or, at least, very buffista shows, to judge from the reality thread.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Today is the worst day I've had in a long time.

I hate it when you don't exactly understand how a program works and the impetus for realizng how it works is fuckedupedness when it comes to the Main Bank Account.

Now, I had nothing to do with what caused the fuckedupedness, but I still feel totally responsible.

For the first time since I started my job, I feel totally inadequate, over my head, and like total shit.

I am a rubbish CFO.

I want to go home, drink tea, and read HP fanfic.

Blerg. I was late coming to work today because the DH and I went to look at a house with a contractor to guesstimate the cost of some improvements. Conclusion: We love the house, not so much the location so we're going to keep looking.

The blerg is caused by the fact that because I was looking at what walls to knock down I didn't get my morning coffee and a professor has asked me for "stats" on a topic and I cannot parse out from the way her request is written whether she means statutes or statistics. I'm hoping it's statutes, as that would be much easier on me.

Aimee, you are not a rubbish CFO! A rubbish CFO would say, "I didn't fuck this up and I'm not going to learn anything from someone else's mistakes! And you, peon! Get me my tea!"

Aww, sorry about the house, Sparky!

Aren't bad? They're the best thing since sliced bread! Or, at least, very buffista shows, to judge from the reality thread.

True true!!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

lisah - that is a cute dress.

And speaking of Buffista-approved reality shows - Natterinos are discussing a Kara Janx dress right now (AIFG!).

Oh, Aims. I'm sorry, hon. But, it's not you. I'm sorry you feel that way.

Home from haircut. Picture: [link] Enjoy it, Hec, 'cause I've decided to actively work on growing out my hair, and my new girl is gonna help me. But, maybe don't comment on the picture. Or me. The haircut is great, but me, not so great. When did I get so fat and zitty?

Not looking for hairpats. I guess I just needed a good reason to get back to eating right and exercising, and I don't know what I'm gonna do about that face. It hasn't been this bad in a LONG time.

ETA: Also, my glasses need to be adjusted. They look ridiculous!

It's okay about the house. We may end up making a bid if we don't find anything else, but we're waiting to see if anything comes up on the market we like better. Truly a diamond shoes problem.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aw, Aims! I'm sorry you're having a crappy day! But, dude, you're a CFO. That is way cool, and you are not rubbish. You may feel in over your head, but you know how to swim.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Her other scripted programming includes Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and Ugly Betty.

Thirding the endorsements of Ugly Betty. A good comic soap opera (as oppposed to a comedy).

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The Boy found my first grey hair a little while ago. No more as of yet, but it was clearly a scout.

I found my first one ten years ago, but it's only recently gotten enough company that I look like I'm going gray. And even then I didn't really notice until I saw some pictures from our recent vacation--for some reason most of the gray isn't in the parts of my hair I see whenever I'm staring directly into a mirror. Anyway, those pictures decided me that my next cut will be a cut-and-color despite the fact I'm trying to be all frugal. Only 36! And I'm used to looking younger than my calendar age!
