I took today off too. It is my mental health day/early birthday, since I'll be driving to the Cape tomorrow (the actual b'day) for a friend's bachelorette party.

Oh, Nora! That sounds wonderful. Where's your guy at? The girl I like is in Leominster, and I'm trying to find someone affordable a little closer...

Even though I might get a car soon! CAR! YAY!

Well, he moved from a salon right down the street from me in Salem and is now working at 2 different places- a place in Beverly (on Saturdays and Tuesdays) and a place on Newbury Street (on Sundays and Mondays.) I gleaned this from his myspace page, but will get the scoop directly from him tomorrow, I guess.

He's really awesome.

I don't know that Beverly is any closer to you than Leominster, and it looks like the salon he's working at on Newbury have more Newbury style prices, albeit on the lower end of Newbury street prices. (~$75-90??)

His price is slightly higher at this new place in Beverly, looks like, but it's worth it for me because: 1) I know and trust him 2) I only get like 3 haircuts a year and 3) still convenient to me.

Yeah, exactly. The Newbury St. option is probably not for me, but thanks for the info!

I think I may just call and make an appointment at the W. Roxbury salon that is the same chain as the woman I love in Leominster.

Well, apparently, I'm getting my hair cut at 10:30. It's right next door to the grocery store, so maybe I'll go today instead of tomorrow... Well, actually, not. That's the expensive grocery store. Maybe I'll just pick up what I need for today then go to the cheap one tomorrow.

Don't you like it when I think out my day in Bitches?

Morning!

My father got a last-minute flight deal for the weekend, so I'm going to have the house to myself! Which, given that I need a lot of alone time and he's only been gone overnight once since I got here, is nice. Except I'll have to make my own food for a while. Oh, woe.

I love my father, you understand. I just have large alone-needs.

Emily - I understand that feeling. I never get alone time in my own house.

vw - talking out your day...sounds normal in here. Today I'm working from home, then I see my primary care doc at 10:30. This is his last chance to be my doc - he has frustrated me in the past and whatever is happening with me right now is so hard to describe that if he is in anyway condescending, I'm out. Then I work from home until my iron treatment. Then more working from home. Somewhere in there I need to clean house too.

I can't find pictures of my last hair cut. Hmmm...maybe I didn't take any. Poor Hec must have cried that day.

Hey, Emily! Yay for alone time!

So, I'm trying to find a picture of my hair...I'm going through all these pictures from early this summer, and my SIL looks big and pregnant and uncomfortable there. I can only imagine how the poor thing feels right now. She's got five weeks left, but I hope she goes early. Nothing fits. She's terribly uncomfortable, and apparently, the baby is huge.

When we were over in Boston a few weeks ago my SIL was four and a half months. And my beer belly was bigger than hers. She hasn't gotten any bigger in the interim either. Although everyone in the family said she was much chubbier than normal. Which I guess will happen when you have to drop your twenty mile runs to fifteen miles.
