I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Catholics...Protestants last I checked neither of us have added any extra books to our THE Book. I just get a tad bit suspicious of people adding more books...

Catholics include the Apocrypha in their Bibles. I've lost track of what status they accord them relative to the 66-book canon, though.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

Aye it does get messy. People should just let people be them and move on. And if someone else likes your style...

Yeah it's plenty cool being here even if I do miss the "during the day chat". Everything in West Coast time kinda throws me too. But I got directions from a book, peeked in the window and rather like it. Good online communties are hard to find. My other big one is still around on ancient IRC network.

Our wings are not tired

Eh not horribly surprised. Seriously. The most visible people in the media are usually the ones either scaring people, or claiming God is on their side, or the ones being caught for illegal shit. In some ways it's kind of like the government. The difference is that in religion the aim is to have faith in the higher power. In government... I don't think anyone has any faith in the jackass behind the wheel.

I'm also suspicious for all kinds of other reasons. I was actually planning to become a Pastor at one point in my life and did my undergrad at Presbyterian school and had religion as one of my majors for part of my time there.

Things changed.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Things changed.

Yeah. Time was, I was wanting to be in the ministry myself, one way or another. But over the years I sort of slid into the opinion that God simply does not work the way all too many people say S/He/It does. I'm pretty sure that The Divine is a much hoopier frood than that.

Our wings are not tired

Yeah, I came to the conclusion that God simply does not work.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

But I got directions from a book, peeked in the window and rather like it.
