I tried to pass some stuff off to L yesterday, but she couldn't handle the work and it came back to me.
That doesn't sound promising.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yikes, Suzi. I'm sorry.
And I feel like a bitch complaining, but what if I ended up staying out for a few days?!?!? Blarg.
Question for Seattleistas: Is there a reason the King County Transit website hates me and refuses to load? Or is it always like that? WTF? Is there a good way to find bus routes and stuff? Cause their website isn't it. And the other one I found, Seattle Bus Monster, is not working for me either (the routes show up, but on a background of grey, not a map. Which is kinda useless)
Oh, Bay Area folk: know anywhere in the East Bay I get free dinner on my birthday? And/or free ice cream?
meara's got bad transit mojo.
lisah needs some punk rock aerobics. "Hey, HO! Let's Go!"
That's more of an exhortation.
In the last day I've discovered that I can move the touchpad on the laptop by kneading my fingers on it instead of stroking it.
I have no idea why this is significant except it's totally changing my relationship to the computer.
Hippo Birdies, P-C!

Imagine how the computer feels.

If you can get someone else to take you out, most places will give you free ice cream. You just get your taker-outer to pull the waiter aside at the beginning of the meal and whisper that it's your birthday, and then usually there's singing and a tasty treat at the end of the meal.
Chevy's (there's one right on the water in Emeryville) will throw in a free sombrero.
And, not that it's classically lovely Bay Area fine dining or anything, but this page will give you a free appetizer/dessert and $5 off birthday coupon to Red Lobster.
Also, happy birthday!
And happy post-birthday, Trudy, and may the hangover be both mild and totally worth it for the sake of whatever debauchery came before!
I almosted posted "I think I went to high school with a girl named Kelly Kapoor" until someone mentioned "The Office" and I realized noooo. You only watch her on the teevee.
