You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm 2000 posts behind in Natter reading about how many of our localistas hate shopping. I think we may need to organize a SoCal resale (and/or Melrose ave) expedition with my Mom. If there's any hope at all of finding your shopping bliss her name is (my) Mom. Oh plus she would love the hell out of meeting all you guys.

I'd happily schlep my clothes to the laundromat if I could get laid on a regular basis.

So where is this laundromat?

I do not believe in the existence of shopping bliss.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

When we get a house, I want a washer and dryer on the main floor. I hate having to ask people, even if it is mostly my mother, to carry the clothes up and down the stairs for me because I can't. I thought I would use the pay machines here, but I usually don't because not only do I have to drag the clothes down a flight of stairs but the detergent and fabric softener too. So, when I go to Mom's on Wednesdays I have Dave put the laundry in the car and wait to have someone there to do the carrying for me.

That all came out much whinier and mememe than I wanted it to be. I should probably get some sleep.

The status is NOT quo.

Hon, I don't think that's whiny in the least. It's a very valid and understandable desire, especially when mobility is an issue.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Seriously, I think that having your very own washer/dryer is better than sex. Most of the time, anyway. And that's not dissing sex. Washer/dryer in the house is just that good.

Huh?

I'd happily schlep my clothes to the laundromat if I could get laid on a regular basis.
Laga is me!

Don't get me wrong. When I house sat for ND & KT, I *loved* having w/d at my disposal. But I'd much prefer sex on a regular basis.

Why is everyone running away? O god, do I come off that desperate? O c'mon, the guys are safe... the women folk I could understand. Hello? Anyone still there?

BC, like that sound geek tag ever closes!
Ha! True that!

so, basically, everyone's telling me that since I now have a washer and dryer, I'll never get laid again?

The status is NOT quo.

I think it just means that sex will be even better.

And at least the sheets will be easier to clean.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I think the deciding factor in choosing to rent our current place was the W/D in the master bedroom walk-in closet. Which I swear is the size of my sophomore year dorm room.

Tonight at the baseball game Annabel tested my assertion that I don't care if her clothes match. She wore a pink-and-fuchsia striped shirt, orange shorts, RED socks, and black shoes. (I had no input into this outfit, since I go to the games straight from work, meeting DH and AB there.) Apparently she needed a last-minute outfit change just before they left, and that combination was what she was willing to accept.

Heh. No, but it does make me wonder if I can use them tomorrow while I help you...;)

I would not want to have to schlep stuff ot a laundromat--i've always either had a washer/dryer in the place (if a house) or in the building. If it were "w/d in house and no sex vs in building with sex" I'd definitely go for the sex. But...laundromat? That might test me.
