'The Killer In Me'

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am ashamed to say I had to skip 900 messages. I hope all is well with everyone.

We are home from the UK. We go back to work tomorrow, as well as starting class, and various exercise things. Something new and exciting every day.

So tired. But I should probably stay awake so that I can get used to 1) Eastern time zone schedule and 2) getting up early for work schedule.

I think a quick trip to the bakery is in order.

Welcome back, Nora & Tom! I hope the trip was wonderful.

Zen, I'll ask my sister if she's discovered any decent bread. Both she and my nephew have celiac disease.

Welcome home, Nora and Tom. A trip to the bakery should always be in order.

Speaking of cast iron skillets (what? We were!)... I seasoned mine with olive oil because it's all I had and it had been a while. That's OK, right? My cornbread isn't going to taste all funny now is it?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Morning, all. This weekend has been less than fantabulous, as I was tired as hell all week, went to bed around 8 and then all day yesterday I spent getting/fighting/having a really painful headache. Not quite a migraine, but close. I had to cancel on a friend's bday party, and was asleep thanks to Ambien at 9:30.

Now I get to clean, do laundry, grade and lesson plan. I feel so unweekended.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, Sparky! Burrell, what's the problem with the yeast? I thought the only problem was that some people were allergic to it, which AFAIK I'm not. (Wouldn't be surprised though - I'm becoming allergic to more and more things. What's up with that?)

I have somethings to do. Why sit I at computer instead?

Because it's much, much easier.

Kristin: I have insent a request to attend NCTE to my boss. If I get approved, I'll probably be going with co-worker, but hey, maybe she'll be ok with getting a single and me shackin' up with you!

Cross fingers! And yeah, Kozol, Tan and Esmerelda Santiago!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cross fingers! And yeah, Kozol, Tan and Esmerelda Santiago!

That should be so cool! I taught both Tan and Santiago while I was student teaching last semester.

I originally though that's where I'd have my first one, and cover it for business when needed, but I'm way too scattered for that. I'll be sticking to torso, because when that shows in a work context I'm already in all sorts of trouble.

Heh. Yeah, we'll see how the new workplace is about it. I'm telling myself I CAN cover it, but honestly, how often do I wear long sleeves and not push them up? Mmm....

Still hurts this morning, I think the tendons underneath are a little pissy still, or something.

Beej, I got it done at a place called "Pinz and Needlez" at 9th and U. Which, I almost didn't go there, after looking at how they spell the name, and the website. But a friend who had a fine looking tat went there, so I tried to remind myself I wasn't ahving them spell anything. :) I really wanted to get it done IN DC, but a lot of people recommend the Baltimore Tattoo Museum (?something liek that).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I had a friend with pale pale skin and a couple black and dark blue tattoos. She used Dermablend to cover them, and it was amazing. They just disappeared. The stuff didn't even sweat off.
